Rob and Kristen-- March Madness


What can I possibly say about this?
What?
Sinister.
Sexy.
Swagger.

You got me Cosmopolis.
You got me.
Just show Robert walking...
I'm all in.

ANYWAY.
I just had to comment on all the wonderful
ongoing Robert and Kristen goodness
we have been getting this month.
March Madness... INDEED!!


Cosmopolis.
The teaser trailer was just that...
But the imagery
The music.
Seeing Rob become this brutal man...
Who appears not to care about anything
was mesmerizing.
He obviously goes places he's never gone before...
(and now I sound like a Star Trek voice over)
And that is beyond fascinating.
Sure.
A lot of people get all up in the fact that Rob 
just might get naked...
But I think he is anyway
with or without his clothes on.
And that is worth watching.


Snow White and the Huntsman.
I already talked about this trailer.
I loved it.
Being physical and brave...
That suits Kristen.
She's beautiful... yet tough.
And the scene where one of the dwarfs says:

" You have eyes, Huntsman, but you do not see.
She is destined to end the darkness."

That got to me.
Well.
The whole thing did.
I feel like that quote could be about Kristen.
So many look at her...
But do not SEE her.

She is AMAZING.
SWATH is AMAZING.


Bel Ami.

Another movie where Robert steps away from Edward.
Seductive.
It's good to see that look in his eyes...
The look of disgust.
The look of someone who knows what they want
and goes after it.
Any movie role where Robert can stretch his wings...
and show the world he is more than just
a brooding vampire...
Is proof that there is more to him
than just his floppy hair
and strong jawline...
You can see it all 
if you look in his eyes.
Brilliant.


OK.
I know this isn't a 'real' poster.
But I like it...
So it will do.

There was a teaser for the BD2 teaser trailer.
Seriously.
It was mere seconds.
Just enough to get you all wondering
and hopeful...
Glimpses of Bella.
Edward.
But guess what?
I still am way

excited for this movie.

No...
It's not like the other movies 
that Rob and Kristen have coming out...
And that's the point, isn't it?
To have a variety of roles...
To change and grow.
I still love Edward and Bella.
And I'm more excited for this movie
than any other...
I remember
Sitting in the theater
Watching the end of Breaking Dawn 1...
And you see Bella's eyes open.
And they are red.


Cut to black.
I remember my stomach falling to my feet
knowing I would have to wait a year.
A YEAR
to see Vampirella.
A year to see Edward and Bella as equals.
A YEAR
to see the happily ever after.
But I will be there.
You can count on that.


And I saved the BEST for last.
Well...
In terms of movie posters...
Definitely the BEST.

You don't have to trash one to like another.
I'm sure Robert and Kristen
want ALL of these movies to do well.

That if it wasn't for Edward
(And yeah... I do remember Cedric)
Rob wouldn't have this amazing career.
Edward opened up a lot of doors for Rob.
It showed him to the world.
The world LOVED him
And wanted to see more of him.

And of course...
Like I said the other day...
Edward led Robert to Kristen.
And look how happy he is now.

Just sitting down to cool off from working & find a Rose post. Woot!

When you list the upcoming films like that it really shows Rob and Kristen's versatility as actors. What an amazingly talented couple! I'm so happy and proud to support their work.

My boys are leaving tomorrow and will be gone all next week for spring break. Mr Dottie and I will have the house all to ourselves. PAR-TAY!!! ;)

Cosmopolis teaser trailer looks absolutely incredible. I loved the intensity of the images and the music goes perfectly it with the images...it's mind-blowingly. I desperately want to see more of it!! and I am vrey happy with all the positive feedback that is getting outside the fandom!!

Cosmopolis, On the Road and Snow White and the Huntsmand, all get released here on May 31 and I am going to sit my tooshie on the cinema all day, supporting Rob, Kristen and Tom.

Cosmopolis trailer is so cool, it like punches u in the face!
I saw the Hunger Games last night, had an excellent trailer pack on it, but the swath trailer got the best crowd reaction! Lots of cheers & applause! Made me all smiley and happy!

I was going to go to a spring training game today, a bit of a spur of the moment birthday treat for myself but ended up spending an hour in traffic in a one mile stretch of road to the ballpark. Soooo yea I was like fuck this and came home lol! But nice day out & no work for me so I'm having a good day & I hope you all do too! :)

I am so excited about each of these movies and so proud of Rob and Kristen!

My daughter and a bunch of friends went to the midnight showing of HG.
They all said it was good but it did not live up to the hype. My daughter told me that she likes Twilight better and her friends all agreed! This unsolicited response came from a bunch of 13 year old girls.

Was sharing a soup recipe with a couple of ladies who wanted it so I thought I'd pass it along here too...

Stuffed Pepper Soup and Skillet Cornbread


2 (28 oz) cans tomato sauce
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cups cooked converted rice
2 (or 3 if you want more) chopped bell pepper (any assortment)
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 lbs. ground beef


In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, brown beef; drain. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.

Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30-40 min or until peppers are tender.

Serve with a side of cornbread if you like


Skillet Cornbread

2 boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix
1 container of vanilla yogurt (6 or 8 oz)
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 stick butter

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In skillet (or 9 x 13 pan) melt butter (don't want it to burn!). Mix other ingred. together by hand. Pour in pan and bake 15-20 min.

Great post, as usual. Yea, it's been a month!!! I went to see THG today and was REALLY disappointed in the BD2 teaser ... I was expecting a real trailer!!! Guess we'll get it eventually.

THG was good, I thought it was as true to the book as possible and still able to keep a PG13 rating. BUT, this is NOT a happy story. While I believe the main stars will become mega-stars, I can't see most of us watching this movie over and over and over again. I never tire of Twilight. I'm sure I'll get the DVD of THG when it comes out but it's not a movie I'll watch all the time.

I'm curious what others think. I know there are a lot of "older" folks commenting on this blog so am curious. I'm 60 years young!!!

COSMOPOLIS: I read the book and can't wait to see this. This character is a real nut, will be a real challenge for Rob. If he does well, I hope he gets some recognition for it. This is such an "off the wall" story I don't believe it's going to make a bundle but hopefully will be well reviewed.

SWATH: I can't .... it looks awesome.

What an incredible year 2012 will be for Rob,Kristen, Tom and we the fans.
Rob swaggering(perfect word Rose) in the alley just gets to me. We ain't seen nothin' yet!
It just seems that they have been through so much and things are falling into place. The negativity is becoming an annoying little buzz in the background.I wish them all nothing but the best.

I am so glad a girl became intoxicated with a boy and created a haven for those that enjoy watching the journey he and Kristen are traveling.

Rose, thank you for the brilliant post yesterday. Rob indeed does take your breath away. That swagger down the alley will go down in film history. Cosmopolis is the strangest book I have ever read and I must say that Rob's acting , and Cronenberg's guilding vision in the brief teaser trailer are amazingly perfect in how the De Lillo's tale is painted on the screen. I was shocked to see that the hand/gunshot was included in the trailer since it is quite a surprising and shocking moment in the novel. Like I said before, this film will be monumental.

March has brought us the most beautiful gifts. Spectacular Rob and Kristen news and glimpses. The icing on the cake this month has been the gorgeous OTR poster of Tom. He is the definition of handsome. So happy for him in his career and private life. Always wishing him the best!

I was just reading an article on Robsessed with quotes from all these movie critics impressions on the Cosmopolis trailer!!!!!!!! I think the date should be circled... Possibly celebrated yearly. Like a birthday...the BIG WIGS are real impressed and they haven't even seen the film yet:). I think you can be confident that this is THE FILM that will escalate you into the category of actor-hood that most actors dream of... The TOP.... Congrats!!!!!!

SWATH: June 1
BEL AMI: June 8th

As for for Cosmopolis and On the Road, there is still no release date for the US. There is however a release date for both of them in France (23 of May), Portugal (31 of May), and in a few other countries.

I am VERY excited too see SWATH, Kristen looked kick ass in the trailers. Seriously that role was made for her. I also saw Hunger Games this weekend it was good. I probably should have read the books though before seeing the movie. I brought my daughter and defiantly was not for a 11 year old.I was even crying and a bit upset with kids killing kids, defiantly no Twilight.

PS Congrats too Tom who will be a Daddy I hear how wonderful.

I have a month and half and I will be married. :) Spring/Summer are great engagement and and Wedding months arent they?

And also, regarding Cosmopolis and On the Road, with that release date for France, it's very likely that both films will premiere at Cannes Festival which takes place from May 16 to May 27.
So, I am anxious to the Festival's lineup to be announced, to see if in fact they made the list. Crossing fingers.

i feel like a proud mama watching our boy grow up in movie land he's joining the big league slowly but surely , that cosmopolis poster is all kind of mature and hot and serious, i swear when i saw it i thought ooh its fifty shades LOL!
i wasnt so sure about snow white but the more i see teaser and trailer the more i'm excited this film looks awesome! sometimes casting agent make the right choice even if its obvious( though job i'd say, you pick the wrong dude film might fall flat)
and def my fav pic of rob and kristen use it often as my laptop wallpaper: kristen is in a very possessive stance on that bike and her eyes "eat your heart out B'tches he's all mine" they say!

30, congrats on your engagement and happy to see someone thinks the same thing as me about hunger games, i went to see it without reading the books, it was well done , the pacing was good but i was completely turn off by the fact that kids were killing kids, it might have been more acceptable if they were all teens(as acceptable as you can get given the context) but the viciousness of the killings even if they didnt really show them or didnt focus on them and put that in contrast to the over the top makeup crowd in the capitol!
i feel i need to read the books now to get the context better and know more , jennifer lawrence was excellent maybe once i read the book i'll rewatch it when dvd comes out and like it better for what it is,we'll see!

Forgot to add...... I saw The Hunger Games too. I thought it was good and Jennifer Lawrence did a great job in the role of Katniss.......She was a tad too healthy looking (if we're to go by the books) and the movie was too long at 2hrs. 22.

There was zero, zero, ZERO chemistry between Lawrence and Hutcherson..........They need to work on that for the other movies in the series.

I've got nothing against THG, but since the media decided to turn this into a stupid competition with Twilight, I've decided not see the movie, for now (yes, I can be a bit competitive, lol). Not that I'm not curious to see it (I am, because of all the hype... although the actors don't appeal to me, to be honest), but my curiosity can wait until the DVD comes out.
I like Twilight, even with all its flaws, and I'm tired to see it being trashed in the media. And if THG is being used to trash Twilight, I'm not going to contribute to their success.
As the comparisons are still going strong, especially btw JL and Kristen, I'm very happy with my decision.

SWATH and OTR look amazing and the Cosmopolis teasing trailer is brilliant, very well done.

30!!!!!!!I am so excited for you!!!!!!!!! Don't be such a stranger...I have been missing you and Sigmund...Give him a hug for me:). I have just started reading THG TODAY and it is riveting from page ONE.....The author is very compelling....This book is very easy
To read and get into.....I will have to see the movie, but I am concerned about the level of violence and blood...I will have to get up my nerve...I can always cover my eyes...right?

Yeah, except honestly, the whole red eye thing scares me.
And not just her, but people with red eyes in general. Idk.
This may be linked to my parents taking me to see The Exorcist at the movies when I was six years old. My aunt also made me watch The Omen when she babysat me.

Who would of known I'd have trouble watching Twilight years later. Eh...

Hey Roseland! It's been sort of quiet around here lately. Hopefully that means everyone is busy enjoying life.
