Hi everyone
Has anyone heard anything about the Cosmopolis box office. I'd be interested to know if it did relatively well. I hope so.
This weekend I was thinking that I wish I could go back to a time when I wasn't invested in a relationship between strangers. When I just mooned over pics of Rob's handsome face. I tell myself that with the world getting stranger everyday this was and is something special, something real that was born in the land of make believe. Twilight led me to Rob and Kristen but there are those who never read the books or have seen a film who also saw that something special.
I've also been thinking of something from Jodie's essay. She said that after all of this Kristen trusts less. That has me thinking of RS. She trusted him that he was a friend. Now she's learned a hard lesson because of it.
I don't know if Tom is set to be at TIFF but if he is I don't think Rob would show up. He wouldn't to take the attention away from such an important movie to Kristen and Tom by bringing his relationship with Kristen to spotlight by being there. Imagine if he showed anywhere near there. There would be nothing said about on the road it would be all about their relationship. He kept the focus on Cosmopolis his first time out and Kristen will keep the focus on On the Road.
I really wish TIFF and BD2 promo would get here already. Unless they're papped together before then or a credible fan account is released I don't think I'll have any idea if I'm hoping in vain for a reconciliation. They may even decide to keep things cool during promo even if they are working things out. They won't sell it, they never have and never will. I think if we see a lot of affectionate gestures it will target both of them as a publicity stunt timed for the last movie.
I can't imagine that Kristen or Rob would have participated in a stunt that could humiliate him and have Kristen as a (insert derogatory term for promiscuous woman). If it was for BD2 I think a fake marriage or possible pregnancy would have been much easier. The Twilight fanbase is one of the most loyal no stunt was needed to make BD2 successful. How would anything other than devoted love between "Edward and Bella" be good for the film. It's not like Twilight haters would all of a sudden want to watch it then.
I think Kristen is well aware of how observers monitor what she wears and her jewellry. The fact that she was out in his hat is a good sign. If Rob was very antagonistic towards her she'd have to know that letting the public see her in an item of his would not make things better.
I think I'm rambling now. Can't wait for November and looking forward to seeing Kristen and Rob getting back to work doing what they love. Hopefully in the next several months we'll see glimpses of them together moving forward. I hope that once they don't have Twilight to contend with anymore the public backlash dies down. They can focus on smaller films that focus on their acting.

To them, I say, please keep in mind that he purposely tries to confuse people with his words...to the point where people don't know what to make of what he's said. @Maria - there are no new pictures out there - I know some people have been making some really stupid manips but I have just been seeing old pictures of Kristen and Rob. I totally stopped going to Robsessed blog the comments about Kristen from some of their followers are disgusting and the girls who run the site obviously don't care because they approved all the posts. I guess I was used to S always throwing out all the trash on her blog. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but I don't have to support it.
I know in my head that Rob would never really be able to go to TIFF with K and Tom, it would become a circus, it would take focus of the movie and all the hard work everyone put into it..BUT... I wish he would just be there with her while she's there to give her confidence and someone to lean on for her first media appearance. I have been reading your posts and i agree with them.
I want to make a point here that i have been thinking some time:
All the media and the haters blogeers in this 4 weeks have been fabricated all this scandal in a long affair. But in these 4 weeks no one from the media and gossip blogs and siteshave any proof or story about another encounter between kristen and rupig. There are NO story or source talking about any hotel, house or building that they were scretly meeting. NOTHING. You all think that in this moment if someone have real evidence of the affair would not sell the story to the press? Someone working in a hotel, or someone who saw them enter in the same building and now with all the scandal, would put 1+1 and see the evidence would not been talking and get real money with all this story? So why there is not one story talking about more meetings between kristen and the pig? Because nothing happened before that dramatical day. And that is the truth. Not even hollywoodlies with all their "sources" can find evidences of the long affair : ) and they try sooo hard to bring the exclusives to their readers : )

all the fans from day 1 found the "pics" strange. No i'm not in denial, but i found strange that 4 pappz in the same place, and we only get 50 pics, looking the same, with only two sequences, fence and car, and all from the same angle and no video. Really? 4 pappz?
I saw more action and more pics with differenst angles on the new pics of kristen form last week than on the 50 pics of the scandal.

Yes i believe that was a set up they made for kristen. All this hate from the media looks like a plane to take her down, for her not coming back to work. I don't know, it's too much. Ginger, thank you for the comment. I am by no means saying Kristen's not suffering unfairly. I'm simply saying that if WE move forward from the spot where we are now, constant upset over articles, stories, etc. then maybe the media will move on too and give Kristen some breathing room.
The paparazzi are vermin waiting for the opportune moment to strike to get the most exciting story out of someone even if they have to orchestrate it themselves. They will follow someone, shout horrible names, never give them a moment of peace until they get the 'MONEY SHOT' regardless of how much harm they do in the process.
Look at how far the media pushed other celebrities before the public finally said 'ENOUGH' Britney Spears bald with an umbrella going after a Paparazzi car comes to mind.

I went to see Cosmopolis today. It's really not a movie I'd normally see, and my intent was just to support Rob. But I thought he did a spectacular job, and the movie really captured my imagination.

I know I would prefer not to read over and over whether Rob has forgiven or how awful the media is. I think it just keeps the momentum going on the gossip and I think we've covered it, but this is just my opinion and I'm not telling anyone what to talk about.

Not sure if this is from our discussions earlier or meant for someone else? I don't see as anything that has been discussed in Rose's post by anyone is offensive in any way. I'm not sure exactly what were supposed to discuss, if it's only about their work then that could get pretty boring considering neither is starting a project anytime soon and months before other movies come to theaters. PAMH, GINGER, PL ... I'm not really sure what Rose was referring to as the "elephant in the room" as I've been told a couple of different things by the "regulars" here. I've been following this blog and the comments for 2 1/2 years and while it's okay for Rose to talk about R&K and whatever, it doesn't appear okay on the comments.
Soooo, I'm guessing that some of new people (new being a regular commenter, not a reader) are rocking the boat... Perhaps Rose should DECIDE what everyone should talk about and not talk about. As long as everyone stays respectful and positive, it doesn't matter to me what is discussed.
Should we be reviewing their movies? What they wear? Geez, talk about an elephant in the room. Frankly, until this lynching of Kristen is over with, I don't see how we can NOT discuss it.
But, what do I know? When I first tried to comment here a couple of years ago, I couldn't even get anyone to say "hello" or acknowledge me. Guess that's why I quit commenting.

It's been a while since I visited Roseland. I know it's been an odd few days, everyone is worried about that Elephant in the room, so now the debate is whether or not we should visit here any longer . I can't tell anyone else what they should do, everyone has to make up their own minds about this, far be it from me to tell you how to deal with that silly elephant, but here's how I am going to deal with it.
In the beginning I came to Roseland for Rose's take on Rob and Kristen, it kept me coming back, but as funny and amusing as I found Rose I didn't STAY because of her. I stayed for the people I met here. The real, everyday people who have enriched my life in so many ways. I still call a lot of these wonderful women my friends. I don't give a damn about that elephant in the room, as long as it doesn't decide to hump my leg, I am not going to let it ruin the true beauty of this place for me.
The normal everyday people who visit here just to be with others and have fun. Do you all remember how much fun we had with Suebee's Hyena chronicles and the Bovine Tallywhacker? How hysterical we found the psychotic ravings of Honey? She was an idiot but harmless. I remember calling her the "Pimple on the butt of humanity" once.
So you all do whatever you want to, but I refuse to let the idea of that Elephant real or make-believe keep me from remembering the good times we had here.
@Kami - no I just want to know - in case you haven't noticed I am equally blunt - it just makes it easier if we all just are up front - I don't think the majority of people want to be offensive and I am more then aware of removing my foot sometimes my entire my whole leg from my mouth - I have a temper that goes from 1 to 50 and I am left saying sorry for saying stuff to people after that while I meant what I said I could have handled it different.
Not my place to tell you what you can and cannot talk about. Your comments were not the reason I said anything. I said what I was feeling about how people are acting in general. I meant that it's time for us to move on and quit beating a dead horse. I never once said who was beating that horse.

As for the elephant...what elephant? I choose to worry about the things I have a greater chance of controlling/influencing. As for R & K, I think its safe to say, that the majority of us that come to this site have a specially place in our hearts for these two kids. Just send them your best wishes to overcome this drama with their sanity intact. Best way to support them? Just enjoy what they so freely give to us...their talent. In the end everything will work out the way its meant to.

Perhaps I’m wading in where I shouldn’t but I thought I would offer a response to Ginger’s question.
In thinking about the board, we’ve gone from discussions like “wow, Kristen looked so beautiful on the red carpet”, or “Boy, Rob was his usual adorkable self in that interview” or “he/she was fabulous in that role” to talking about things like fake sightings, and rumours of Rob dating Katy Perry and gossip of Kristen being pregnant – stuff we generally kept out of here. And where we used to spend 20% of our time gossiping (yes, we did it), 30% of our time talking Rob and Kristen in general and another 50% of our time talking about other things like recipes, music, our families, vacation plans etc, the discussion on the board now probably skews to 70% gossip and 30% other.
I would ask each one of us: “how would you feel if people were spending significant chunks of their day dissecting your private life and talking about it on a public forum?” Would you like it? Now, I’ll acknowledge that we’ve all done this to some extent, particularly right after the incident. We all wanted to figure it out because it didn’t make sense. Then we offered advice because it made us feel like we were doing something productive. But it’s been over a month now, yet we (the royal we) keep on rehashing the same things.
I also believe that we’ve overstepped our bounds by continuing to offer advice on how they should behave/live their lives – e.g. Kristen needs to submit to Rob’s over-possessive behaviour because she needs to regain his trust”. What? We don’t know these people. We see their public persona in interviews or premieres. Remember how Rob has spoken about going on autopilot during premieres or becoming another person on the red carpet. Well that’s the persona they want us to see. I would wager we know only a fraction about who they really are – and it’s as it should be. As such, how do we have the right to give advice on what they should do – even if it is done with the very best of intentions. And I do believe everyone here is totally genuine in their love and support, but this situation has cast a light on this fandom and shown us how we have been culpable to some extend in how this has played out in the media.
Now before anyone feels upset by what I’ve said – and I don’t want that to be the case – I want to state that I’m not criticizing anyone. I’m only making a comment on the nature of discussions that have been happening of late on the board. Again – I’m not criticizing anyone nor is it my place to tell people what they can and can not talk about. Rose has already answered that question. I’m only offering a personal opinion in response to Ginger’s question about what I feel comfortable/ uncomfortable with. It’s not the people that are at issue – it’s the nature of discussions – at least for me. And as Kami said, I can always choose to read them or not.
I hope this will be taken in the positive spirit in which it is intended.

down here the old people talk about recent hurricanes like they don't measure up "camille, now that was a hurricane beb." even katrina gets shrugged off as a levee problem. but i promise i'll take it seriously

Am I tainting this peaceful board or what?

Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes. We mostly have to worry about spin off tornadoes and wind damage in our area. We're in a rural, wooded area so power lines are forever getting knocked down by trees. With a big storm we usually lose power anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. The people who have to deal with the storm surge & flooding have it much worse than me.

15 years ago on August 31st a horrible tragedy occured. A lot of factors lead to the final outcome, but the bottom line is this. Without a HUGE group of Paparazzi stalking Princess Diana, then there's really good chance they wouldn't have used the driver they used that night and maybe, just maybe she would still be here today. No one will ever know.
The same tabloids stalking Kristen, Rob and a multitude of other celebrities are the same tabloids who purchased Princess Diana's death photos that were taken by men, more concerned with making a dollar than saving a life. I never ever want to see that tragedy repeated with any celebrity, so I refuse to give those rags one cent of my money. That's just me, everyone else should do as they see fit.
@Freddie - you were not over stepping any bounds - I put it out for everyone because I think we all want to be here cohesively without purposely hurting other peoples feelings. I was joking on the preggo thing cause honestly it is crazy that people keep wishing this on her - as a women (even though I myself was a baby making machine) I hope we have gotten past the generalization that we are made to be barefoot and pregnant cooking in a kitchen (I am waiting on Robert to say something)and that we can choose when we want to do that if that is even if we want.I will do my best to try to keep it down a bit cause I know it is upsetting cause most of it really makes me mad to begin with

My kids are really cool and my 2 older kids know better than to judge people or to treat others differently based on perception - I have always told them no matter what I will love them and support what ever choices they make in life but try to find something to make them happy because life is too short (just as long as it does not involve being 30 sleeping at home). They all have awesome senses of humor too so their is more laughter than crying in my house :)

Just reading your post makes me miss having little ones around, my 17 yo son is a senior but isn't home much between school, his friends and playing music.
My hubby and I are like you, we are the go-to parents for all things concert related, we always had that love of all kinds of music and shared that with our son. Even though we are 40 something's we can be found at Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Disturbed, Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper or anyone at Rock on the Range or XFest. From 80's hair bands, rock, metal, to some country we are music junkies.
OT did anyone see the pics of Tom and Sienne with baby Marlowe ? She has his dark hair color... Awwww....if she gets his beautiful eyes.....that'll be one gorgeous girl.
It made me think of Rob saying he would be going to lunch with friends having his baby strapped in front of him ( or soothing like that ) I can defiantly picture that after seeing Tom doing it.

I felt disappointed with S. too. I never expected to her leave kristen. If was Rose i could understand more, i would be disappointed and sad but i would accepted. Because Rose blog since the beggining that is about Rob. I remember in 2009 when all robsten fans knew that they were together, even with no pics but we knew : ), Rose never talked about kristen. She always made very clear that if existed a pic of them together has a couple she would admited that they were a acouple. And then we get the Paris airport pics. And since then Rose is being a huge supporter of kristen. And is obvious that her feeling has nothing to do with Rob. Rose loves kristen apart. And that is a really true fan.
S. only proved that she was never a kristen fan. Monica you know if she has a new blog or if she commented in any blog? If in the future when rob and kristen go public, and S. open again robstenation i WILL NOT GO THERE. To me will be like all these 4 weeks, nothing, a blog not working.
There are many robsten fan sites who have support them since day 1: robstendreams, robstendaily. Theses are the sites i go.

Have the day off today...nothing fun...appointments for the kids and football later. Just found out that son only has one pair of pants that barely fit him...two weeks ago they fit him just fine! Now I have to figure out how to fit in a shopping trip amongst all the other running around...and school starts tomorrow. Yeah me.

I've seen Linkin Park and 3DG before but my one band I want to see, but haven't yet , before I get to old to do this anymore is Nickelback. The one time they come close to us and we had to miss it do to a death in our family.
It is getting harder to see as many shows as we used to, between work schedules and locations of shows. Living in KY unless they come to Loiusiville, Lexington , WV or OH that is doable driving anywhere else takes advance planning for time off for everyone.

i am from a magicalplace in south louisiana known as "acadiana"
it is a hoot to live here because we have the best food and some of the funniest people on the planet
we are made up mostly of WASPMs who came from all over to work in the oilfield. but we also have a strong contingent of cajun people. as my friend used to say "why would anybudy want to move away from here."
most of the world outside of us believes the hollywood cliche that we are all uneducated and we are all like that show swamp people. my dad used to say "good let them think that, we'll have it all to ourselves"

I talked to other refugees regarding S, they have the same feeling as us. You know how JerryD described Robstenation? He called it "false advertisement" (lol) as S made us believe she loved them equaliiy. One told me last night that she tried to say hi to S on her new site but well...let's say it was an unpleasant experience. :/
