There is a restaurant here called Le Pain Quotidien and in every one of their restaurants they have a communal table .....,...The point I'm trying to make here is that everyone and anyone can sit at that communal table and for however long it takes them to finish their breakfast, lunch or dinner the've met new people and were exposed to new ideas and great conversation.

As always, you express the sentiments of a lot of us in such a kind and thoughtful manner.
I feel I have to say something and I hope I don't offend. I know what people mean by missing the old regs and the way it was here before because I've been a part of this place on and off for 2 years. Those of you who say why do we post recipes or talk of other things, the reason is, that is how it has always been around here.
If you lurked as you say, you would have noticed that aside from the first few comments which would agree with what Rose wrote the rest of the comments were just friends conversing. It was like a chat room. If Rob or Kristen had a new movie we would talk some about that, or if they made a public appearance that would be discussed, their clothing choices were discussed. We rarely to never spoke of their relationship or personal life.
I have to agree with Marley, if you feel you "need" to discuss that, then maybe this isn't a healthy thing for you anymore. What happens to them and the decisions they make should not and do not affect any of us. They are actors and only their professional activities should be open for us to discuss. Everyone here seemed to be of like mind on this.
I really hope we can move away from this topic because once again we are beating this horse to death.
@Marley - I proof read and still do typo's doh - nope you guys have been really awesome to me but I think I was just saying in general about the newbies. Once again for the most part you guys are very welcoming and I have enjoyed talking about everything under the sun with you guys - with a large family and lots of different people in it - you learn a lot from shutting your mouth and opening your ears. I posted a real picture of myself with one of my much younger sisters because she has taught me a lot and she is only 27. I am not going anywhere :)

I think there are a few things happening on the board right now that are colliding, causing confusion and upset. I feel I have unwittingly contributed to this. I expressed an opinion – respectfully I had hoped – which I stand by, but despite my best intentions, some people took offense to my comments. I am sorry about that and apologize for my role in that.
At the same time, we speak of respect, yet when one person (me in this case) expressed what turned out to be an unpopular position, people reacted by taking offense and threatening to leave, rather than just respectfully agreeing to disagree and to move forward. No one was ever asked to leave.
I mean no one ill will, and whether you believe it or not, my comments were well intended. I hope that peace will be restored and everyone, yes EVERYONE, finds their place at the table, as Annie so aptly put it. I hope we can finally put an end to this discussion

I remember something said a long time ago, I believe it was Smitty, and while this isn't the exact quote the sentiment is the same so I thought I would share this to shed light on why those of us who have returned to post are talking about moving away from the negative.
She said: We all know that the negative stuff is out there, we know that no matter what we do or say there are still going to be haters, so why not concentrate on the positive things and comments that are being said? Why not talk about the happy things happening surrounding Rob, Kristen and Tom? She then told everyone that we needed to "Hang on to your Happy"
So we began exchanging recipes, stories, jokes and we talked less about what the haters were saying and more about what we thought.
The strangest thing began happening, we began have fun, not just a little fun but times when all of us were laughing so hard at something someone had said that we could barely type.
No one is saying not to talk about Rob or Kristen, that would be silly. All anyone is trying to say is that since this....whatever we're calling it...eipisode? happened everyone has been so upset and frustrated with the media coverage the events, what's true, what's not. We have all..every one of us, talked about this, none of us are saying that we're talking to everyone else and not including ourselves in these comments.
Maybe if we move on to the fun stuff we will feel better and have a little fun. We post recipes, I loved Sydney's recipe yesterday. I hope she posts more.

So - we are all moving on right - no one is telling anyone what they can or cannot say - it is ok to think for ourselves, say what we gotta say do what we gotta do. We can all agree to disagree and be respectful to each other and handle happy our own way. With the majority of the bloggers being women on here we are all not going to see eye to eye, we all come from different places, have seen different things and have lived different lives. As long as it is respectful I just don't see why there is so much conflict. Skip a post, read a post, use the post as a dart board - to each their own. Things change and with change people adapt and evolve - it is up to each individual person to decide for themselves how they will deal with that change. I will make this stand - as long as the post is not being hateful towards either Kristen or Robert - I am not going to bitch at someone for their opinion or how they feel, if I disagree I am not going to argue endlessly with you I am just going to move on. If it makes me unhealthy to talk about something then those are my issues to deal with, I am grown enough to live with my choices.

Have you ever had one of those days where you feel like you need to go back to school to learn how to operate a new appliance? Yeah I am having one of those days. My washer died and so we bought a new one that came yesterday.
I went to wash clothes in it and the buttons I pushed, I thought were correct but when I went back in to remove my 'clean' clothes, I discovered that instead of washing them they had just been spinning them no water, nothing just spinning and spinning and spinning them! LOL I finally got it working..I hope. I've not been brave enough to go in there and check, but I know it's done, the thing played a tune for about 3 minutes telling me it was finished.

About the hurricanes, no we don't as a rule, there may have been one a couple of hundred years ago. We sometimes get a bit of bad weather after one in America and people say it's the tail end of hurricane such and such. I saw Cosmopolis and really enjoyed it – maybe not as much for the story but for Rob, who I thought was exceptional in the part. It is definitely not what I would call a conventional story – it’s not light and funny (although there is dark humour). There are no car crashes or flashy visual effects – but lots of thought provoking dialogue. While a couple of people walked out on it in my showing (because I suspect it wasn’t what they expected) I sat there with a huge smile on my face throughout, because I was so proud of Rob for his performance. The last scene with Paul Giamatti and Rob was so well played and worth the price of admission for me.
If I read "from a reliable source" one more time I'm gonna freak the fuck out hahaha. I'm over it, I'm sick of seeing the same crap posted then changed a little and reposted. On ENews they posted that Rob is moving on, apparently he's putting his house up for sale...according to US magazine. OMG!!! REally? UGH so annoying lol. Great post Rose, makes total sense to me!!!

In case anyone is curious...after spending the last couple of hours helping the hubby fix our generator, (which was working perfectly fine right before the hurricane btw) after much scientific research, I have determined that mango flavored Smirnoff ices are much more tasty than the cherry limeade flavor. Just trying to do my part for hurricane preparedness research.
I think this was the slowest moving hurricane ever! We're just now getting the high winds & they're supposed to be gone in a few hours. Lots of people in the New Orleans area not near as fortunate, sadly.

Ginger...thanks :). It ended up being nowhere near as bad a we thought. We've lost quite a few shingles & we'll probably be without power for about 24 hrs or so. Our last bad one, we lost power for 2 weeks, so this will be a breeze.

Yes, you do owe it to your loyal fans to stop the drama; to stop the speculations. We only want to know if you are together or apart. That's all. No more. Sweetie, they really don't owe us the truth. They are just normal people like you and me that make mistakes in life. If you were in their situation, you would not want anyone to know your business either. Heck, my only sister, whom I am really close to, still to this day, has not given me an explanation as to why she broke up with her on and off again ex-boyfriend of 7 years. He was considered part of the family already and when she broke it off, we were shocked and confused and hurt by her decision because we thought they would get married someday. Yet, she refuses to tell us why. If anyone, she would tell me, but she didn't. So, imagine what that is like for Rob and Kristen, instead add the media and lunatic fans like us to the mix.
Anything they say to us or the media will be used against them, no matter what they say. Rob can come out and make the most heart felt statement and say, "I forgive you Kristen, because I can't live without you, I need you, I love, I won't let you go." But there will be many who will say this is PR and they're just doing it to save their careers, blah blah blah, you know what I mean?
I know you only want the best for them, we all do. But they are not our puppets, you know.
I don't know about everyone here, but I still have not watched any interviews of Rob since the incident, I just cannot bring myself to watch them yet. HOwever, my husband actually saw the Jon Stewart Show, and he is no fan of Robert Pattinson, he doesn't hate the guy. So out of curiosity, I informed him about their love story, and he said that during the daily show interview, Rob gave nothing away as to the status of their relationship. I asked him why, and he said because he thinks Rob is trying to protect his career because if he said anything it would probably backfire on him and he can't predict anything so it's best for him not to say anything. And how about whether or not he thinks they broke up or not, I asked? His answer was basically that Rob did not say anything to indicate the status of their relationship. So we don't know anything about their status. This is coming from someone who I forced to watch Twilight and New Moon with me, ok!
My opinion is just my opinion, based on common sense and gut instinct:
They will never come out and say it, but they are not over. She is still wearing her ring. They are missing. No one knows where they are for days now.
Sweetie, you just need to be patient and wait, BE VERY PATIENT because something like this just cannot be resolved so soon.

While listening to my regular radio station stupid Ryan Secreast has to come on with the Hollywood Sleaze to inform us Twihards to" don't get our hopes up but Rob and Kristen may be reconciling" then a coulpe hours later has a women on his show who proceeds to say "Rob is selling his house because there's to many memories there"

yeah i want to talk about what's going on in rob and kristen personal life because i dare not go anywhere near any of the members of the shitlist sites to discuss it!
but at the same time its not easy been their fan , even before they became negative tabloid fodder it wasnt easy , because even before it was a narrow line to travel on being their fan, wanting to know everything about them and yet you love them so much you want to be the kind of fan they'd approve of
which implies making do with what they show us and tell us and not drinking up the unnecessary fiction the media craved and thus churning out weekly in their rags
and well it is hard to argue with the logic and soundness of rose's posts and some posters level-headed remarks !
i think i'll take a break from here and just pursue other interest for awhile, i will peek in and comment if and when i get to see cosmopolis otherwise i'll be back in november for BD2!

I’ve been trying to stay positive too, but I’m also trying to keep my expectations low.
I wonder if he will be able to forgive her and if she will allow herself to be forgiven. It’s not easy to trust again and it’s not easy to not be trusted anymore.
I’ve always believed that Rob and Kristen had something really special and rare, and I still do, but I wonder if their love is strong enough to overcome all this obstacles. They have a lot to deal with and I can’t help thinking that their lives would probably be much “easier” if they stayed apart. Especially Kristen’s.
I read some comments today regarding the whole Rob and Katy Perry “thing” and, even though it’s just one more rumor, part of the always over invested robsessed world is already tearing the girl apart. “She’s not good enough for him”… “He can do so much better than that”… “She will hurt him for sure”… Déjà vu? How predictable… No one will ever be perfect for him. Especially Kristen Stewart, of course, who was never good enough and now has committed the horrible crime of making a mistake.
I wonder if her love for him is stronger than her desire to have a more peaceful and private life. Especially after this. She’s been dealing with crap from his fans and the media for a long time and now it’s completely out of control. How much can she take? How much can anyone take? I wonder how the “incident” would have been interpreted if her boyfriend was just some guy, not Robert Pattinson. I’ve a feeling that the villain of the story would be the married director and father of two taking advantage of his position to seduce the much younger leading actress of his movie, not Kristen. I guess we’ll never know…
I wonder if his love for her is stronger than his pride. He was inadvertently put in a very embarrassing and humiliating position and he’s expected to not accept her back. It’s no surprise that almost everyone is assuming that he broke up with her and is single again. Everyone will understand if he doesn’t accept her back. And many will not if he decides to stay with her.
I understand his silence, but I also understand why his silence is being questioned and interpreted as indifference and not caring. It’s hard to see her being vilified like this and to not see him standing up for her. It’s disgusting to see so many people enjoying this.
I’m keeping my expectations low because I understand if they decide to take the easy road and stay apart. But I’m also hoping that, for them, staying apart is not taking the easy road…
They can move on and start fresh with someone else. But if what they had was really THAT special and rare… it will not be easy to find again. I hope they make it.

This is what amazes me in this fandom. They 'understand' what these two needed. From the beginning...they begged for the privacy of their relationship and these fans are giving them JUST THAT. They never asked us to be put in the pedestal ...if anything....they were actually terrified of the fame and the overwhelming 'support' from us. It was what drove these WILD BEASTS pesterazzi and rags for the BIG KILL. They were the DEMONS of this entertainment industry. They cheapen the prestige and glamour of it although they won't admit. These ANIMALS try to put the fingers on the loving and supporting fans. We want NOTHING of all the craps they PHOTOSHOPPED. They are re-hashing the POOP news because they LIKE to think they are actually have one.
Agree with TOPAZ...these two actors/lovebirds DON'T owe us NOTHING. We do OWE them their privacy stolen. And that's why we're TRYING to return it to them by IGNORING the SHITLIST.

I do not iron, Mr PL does it because he is sooooo fussy and much better at it than I am and I plan on keeping it that way.
I have one of the new top load,HE washers with no agitator in the center. It was quite ridiculous to see my husband and myself standing over this washer watching the entire load wash and we kept saying how is this getting the clothes clean, there isn't enough water? We even did a little shake every time the washer did it's balancing act.

Annie one of the restaurants in my home town got the lowest scorepossible because he wouldn't let them in to do their check. He Had a real superiority thing and thought he was to good for it. But he ended up having to let them in as his low score was damaging his business. Stupid man !!
Good morning. Another day, another load of clothes for my new washer. Is it odd that I had nightmares that this washer kept chasing me around the house saying "You are the weakest link Good-bye" and then it would try to bite me?
Annie, it's a "He" machine, my second actually. The first we bought 3 years ago and apparently when we moved from Kansas to Houston, the movers dropped it and cracked something that caused the transmission (who knew washers have transmissions?) to burn out eventually causing water to pour out onto my brand new floor.
This is a front load, it will take some time to get used to it, but I think I will.
Speaking of crazy machines. Last weekend my husband and I went to town to buy the washer, and I didn't like the station he had the radio on, we have a car that has an automated hands free option that you push a button on the steering wheel and tell the car what you want it to do..call someone, directions, temperature, radio etc. and then the car will obey.
So I punched the button and the car said "Please say a command" and I told the automated lady which station I wanted and every time there would be this 'fail' music followed by "Sorry didn't register please say a command" so finally the third time this happened I was frustrated so when she said 'Please say a command' I said "Oh go eff (using the actualy word) yourself" and this EVIL hag who I am not totally convinced IS automated said to me "Turning to Out there radio. Topic: You're a bitch"
I am of course livid, my husband is laughing so hard he's about to wreck the car and I'm sitting on the passenger side stuttering at an automated voice in my car.
So finally my husband shuts up long enough to say "Here let me try" and says a station and this damn evil car said "Turning to the Power. Topic "You're the boss"
So ever since last weekend if I disagree with my husband he says "hey don't make me get the car to tell you who the boss is."
Ok off to brave the washing machine.

@ Vangie - I get really upset at the hate too - enough is enough - some of the things needs real consequences to be handed down so maybe people will think twice about some of the things they do or say - like her or not, fan or not she is a human being and while I am not a religious person I know that God does not have room for what is going on.
On the other stuff no one is talking so they are making up any story they can - some one said it is like throwing spaghetti noodles at a wall to see what will stick - I wouldn't believe anything anymore without tangible proof - I am even scared to say photo's since they staged the u-haul pic. @Gia- hi honey : ) i understand what you said in your post. I feel the same and most of here feel too. Kristen is being victim of a plan to destroy her. This is the way i see it. Because in these moment i think we all agree that the hate comments from the media and rob's crazy fans, don't have nothing to do with the "pics". It's personnal. And yes it's because of Rob. His fans think that is their mission on earth to take her down. And they will not stop until rob gives them a very clear mensage.
I have the same feeling that you have about kristen reaction to all his fans against her. It's obvious that she knows very well since 2009 that they don't like her.Just because Rob loves her. Yes we know it's a logical reason...
She knows, her family, friends and her team everyone knows that most of the hate she is being victim in this 4 weeks comes from them. Including Rob.
In this moment kristen is facing a difficult and chalenging period of her young life. She is not in a good place, maybe now she is in the process of healing. I think she is reacting to what happened to her, in the best way she can, with the support of the people who truly loves her.
She will come out from all of this, more strong, knowing herself better, what she wants and who she wants. She already made this part very clear. I hope he can see that. But she will emerge not the same kristen but a stronger kristen. And with the changing in her, probably she will have zero tolerance for bullshits. And that will include his fans too.
And she maybe accept that she doesn't want to be judge the way she is being since 2009, not good enough, not pretty enough, not smile enough, not talented enought. Yes this has been the reasons they give when they talk about her. And all this crap came from them. they are still using and we are in 2012.

And if the truth is that will be Kristen to give the final decision in all of this and not Rob?
Kristen will come out of this more wide awake and maybe she will say "Enough is enough". Who can blame her? I don't.
Rob can't be blame for his crazy fans, it's true, but he knows this since 2009 and he never make nothing to stop. Yes he always made very clear to the world how he feels about kristen, the way he looks at her. It's obvious for us. But his fans are out of control. In these moment doesn't matter if he will walk the BD red carpet with kristen looking her with the same loving eyes. It will be not enought for his fans. He will have to make very clear to his fans , who he wants in his life, who he truly loves and that he will NOT tolerate hate on her. Maybe not in words but in his behaviour with his fans. Time will tell...
Ginger and Kami, my car tells me when to change gears so I always try to get changed before it tells me, otherwise I feel like it's won (sad or what!!) I would be a little bit competitive ;)
@tufenuf55- we all feel sad with the undeserving hate that kristen is being face it. Yes i would love that someone from them camp would come out and stop this. But they will not talk. Rob will not talk. There are a lot of fans who wants him to come publicly and defend her. His silence can be seen has indifference, but i think that is the way he is protecting her.
If you look close to Rob's photos from cosmopolis premiere, talk shows and interviews, he doesn't give nothing to the media. You can't know from his words if they are or not. He looked sad but not with hate or revenge. If was the case he had soo many opportunities to make clear if they are or not, and he didn't talked. You saw him in JK? He looked happy, relaxed. This is not the behaviour of someone who is facing a devastating break up. Yes he is an actor but there are things you can't fake it. If he was really devastated like the media wants us believe he would look like that.
Soo have HOPE and believe in them :) Yes it's difficult but we have to be patience : )
@Isis - the unfortunate part of society in a whole is the issue - the male - be it a movie star, rock band guy, professional athlete, is almost forced to promote an image more than themselves. They are told to act available and obtainable because that draws more interest to their platform - some get lost in that world and lose themselves while others become hardened and jaded. People lean to the glamorous superficial life they think these people live when it is so far from reality. We are told to look at their looks and appearances and not who they are as human beings - knowing the true them is losing the fantasy because no one is a god. Fantasy sells - all about the almighty green and has created a cesspool bleach would not even clean.

I don't see this dying down even after BD2 is over until they either vocally say we are/ aren't together ( which they will never do ) or be photoed with someone else showing PDA people are always going to hate on one or the other or both if they stay together.
Staying away from rag mags and not giving hits to the crap sites will help with our SANITY but I don't think it will change the beasts. Unfortunately I think the bad ( haters) out weighs the good ( us R/K fans ) so until the next big story breaks to outshine them they will keep going JUST WITHOUT US!!!!!!
Hope everyone and your families that dealt with the storm is fine and not inconvenienced by the after affects long. I do hope some rain would make it to my neck of the woods it's getting dry here and people need it for gardens and crops.

The last week I've been contemplating whether I should still comment or even read this blog.
I thought maybe stepping away from it all, would make it easier. I had a lot of dark thoughts last week about what happened and the flipside of Rob's deep love for Kristen.
What really got to me was that last week, unconsciously, I opened our new TV-guide and there are R&K. The scandal, her betrayel and the pic of K and dickhead standing by the railing, her hand in his hair and smiling. It made me sick all over again, I wanted to vomit. If I have that reaction how must Rob be feeling, being confronted over and over again, seeing another man holding and kissing the woman he loves.
I'm not lookin for info but it's eveywhere, the stupid English rags my partner reads(put The Sun and the Daily Mail on your shitlist to, Gargamel). Rob selling his house, Katy Perry (no I am absolutely no fan of hers so I'll try to be nice). Maybe I should just shut down internet, not go to supermarkets or open any tvguides.

Yes the man can do everything. The woman are blame for all the bad. Is sad but is true.
Rob's image in this moment is single, move on, God, perfect. Maybe is not is fault but his team have to work in this.
Yes he has a lot of sucess, and he will continue with his career. But if he makes the decision of not want her again. And both move on, with their lifes. In the next 3-4 years, he will be famous the same way he is today, but not with kristen in his life. If everything we have seen since 2008 about his feelings for her, and the way he look at her, if is true that he loves her deeply like he is being showing all these years. He will be happy? Many actors from all generations, the most famous, always said that the spotlight is a lonely place, and doesn't bring happiness.

@iSIS - I think it is just the draw back to being famous all together - it is the game they are forced to play. I actually feel horrible for them. I don't see Rob or his team as a bad people at all in this - it is just a very unfortunate draw back to having to be marketable. No one goes to see a movie where the lead actor is snaggletoothed,500 pounds, and unattractive - not as a romantic lead anyway.
Women have careers as long as they are pretty and thin enough - always judged or criticized for everything they do. I refer to above - same standard.
I remember being young and being a very judgmental person - the day I had my oldest daughter is the day I opened my eyes. I love her to death so don't get me wrong but she is my karma - it is easy to be callous about a lot of things in life until you have to protect someone from people that thought like you did once. I have done a lot of things that my younger self swore I would never do, changed opinions and well grew up. My boss and I were talking a while back about regrets (she is the one that wants to poor dish soap in my mouth) and when I told her I didn't really regret anything in my life she was shocked. I told her I didn't have time for regrets because things happened and I can't change them - they made me who I am today so I have to look at them as lessons.
It is easier to judge someone meaningless to you them to judge yourself - people are afraid of what they might find there.

We are 11th row center stage so we are right in the thick of it. I almost bought Pit tickets but my daughter is 5'4 and 110 pounds - I was afraid she would get crushed

Its been a crazy busy week on my end, kids went back to school on Wednesday, and haven't had much time to catch up and comment.

I've been feeling a little edgie this week. Can't quite put my finger on a reason...could be one of many...but its held me back from commenting...can't put a coherent thought down in writing when I'm in this state of mind. ;-)
I enjoy reading all of the comments here posted by the respectful posters...from the optimistic to the cautiously realistic, from the analytical to the ones that no longer feel the need to comment on the incident incessantly. Everyone has something worthwhile to say, to express their thoughts and feelings; look at it as a type of therapy.
Just watch and wait and keep the faith...wringing our collective hands in anxiety won't resolve things any quicker.

So I survived - lost my voice and wanted to crawl to the car after jumping and dancing for 4 hours, my feet hated me. Probably one of the most amazing concerts I have been to and the best show I have seen of Linkin Parks - we have been religiously seeing there shows for 10 years now every time the come here. I took a shot or two for everyone - drank a couple beers and over all enjoyed one hell of a night.
On today's anniversary of Princess Diana's death - this is my wish - the media backs off all these stars - you are destroying them and for what? Does it make you better to take someone down? Chatter and White noise on the internet - my wish is you learn the value in shut the fuck up - when you hide behind your screen and bully someone to the point that they attempt to or do take their lives it makes you an asshole - I am for freedom of speech but anonymity has allowed vile people to become the worst of bullies and some one needs to take accountability.
@ vanilla-sparks - I don't think Twilight was the evil part but I bet if Kristen was honest she probably wouldn't have done it knowing what she knows now - who would.
The internet is a blessing and a devil at the same time - I wish the social network part of it was never created - the world might be a little quieter if it hadn't and the assholes would have no one to talk to but themselves.
