This is supposed to be my 'good' post.

It's why I'm still here.

I'm still trying to figure out why stuff makes me feel the way I feel.
Like.
Robert Pattinson.
and Kristen Stewart.
I mean... on the surface
being intoxicated with Rob is pretty natural... isn't it?
Talented, witty, intelligent, gorgeous man.
(he's so much more than that, but you get the idea)
The same things can be said about Kristen...
Talented, intelligent, beautiful...
But that's not what I'm trying to work on.
WHY do I feel so protective over them as well?
My post yesterday was in response to the ridiculous attacks on Kristen
for her 'behavior' at the PCAs.
Although no matter what she had done at the show
she would have been vilified and shredded.
People in this fandom seem to forget the real stuff...
The GOOD stuff...
So easily.
It's like they would rather focus on a nervous Kristen
Speculating on what every move meant
instead of remembering that a week ago...
Kristen and Rob were kissing and hanging out.
How can you just forget that?
Because it wasn't on TV?
Or because your attention span is like a gnats on crack?
I don't get it.

(Second year in a row, mind you)
Spent said holidays with Rob
his family... friends...
Means nothing now?
Just because Kristen didn't hang all over Rob
on some cheesy award show
means that a week after they were spotted
together and KISSING (how can you forget that??)
Their relationship doesn't exist?
How the hell does that work?
It's not like I had a lot of faith in this fandom to begin with...
The amount of crazy that roams free is terrifying.

What I've found is that a lot of people aren't really fans at all.
They don't necessarily care that much for Rob or Kristen.
They use their 'fandom' as an excuse to hate.
Yes.
There is hate for both Rob and Kristen.
But Kristen gets the brunt of it.
I totally get that there are people out there that don't care for Kristen.
They don't have to accept them as a package deal.
But the ruthless attacks on a girl...
JUST BECAUSE Rob wants to be with her are pathetic.
And yeah...
keep clinging to Taylor helping Kristen up the stairs
(who would have thought Taylor was a nice guy?)
as some sort of relationship barometer.
Let's ignore that through it all...
Rob and Kristen
ALWAYS
end up together.
Time after time.
And the next time a picture is released
showing them out and about
(and it will happen)
Then what?
The same tired bullshit will be regurgitated again and again...
Tell me...
Is it as bitter coming back up...
as it was going down?

He could have invited any number of girls along...

But no.
In every picture...
It was Rob and Kristen.
Next to each other.
Always.
Even Kissing.

And yet... here I am
All protective and defensive about 2 people
who most certainly don't need my protection.

So where does that leave me?
I should just be resigned to the fact that
people will always twist what is right in front of them...
To fit their point of view.
We all see things differently.
We all have our opinions.
But while that is all well and good...
Sometimes you should ask yourself the motives
behind what people are saying and doing.
Me?
My motive is two fold.
I want to understand why I continue to be intoxicated
with a 24 year old British actor...
Why I feel the need to defend and protect him and Kristen...
But most of all...
I just enjoy watching their relationship...
Seeing them looking all smitten and in love
And happy.
I'm all about the Happy.
Twirling and Laughing and Happy.
Because I know...
in my heart of hearts
in my gut
That Rob and Kristen not only are together...
But are deeply in love
and completely committed to each other.
Living together.
Working together.
Traveling together.
Vacationing together.
Together.
As always.

Love this blog, I hope you never get tired. I love R/K for one of the reasons you do - watching them - the love oozes out of them. As far as the PCA show - Taylor is sturdy on his feet - Rob trips over his own and does somersaults on the floor part of what we love about him. If I'm wearing 8 inch heels I'm going with Taylor. Rob and I sprawled on the floor not so pretty. Also if I were Kristen I know hanging on Taylor (who I view as a litter puppy brother) I'm not going to forget where I am and grab him inappropriately. Rob and Kris get in their bubble and they forget where they are and who's watching. LOL Thanks SunnySRZ aka CrazyPeople
Rose, I feel the exact same way about Rob and Kris, and really don't understand why exactly. I feel so protective about them knowing they do not need my protection. They are deeply in love with each other, and it is there for everyone to see, if you open your eyes and just look at them. I really wish the haters would just leave them alone, they deserve that peace, just like anybody else. Take care.

My only expectation for the PCAs was that they both showed up. Everything else (matchy outfits, teary-eyed Robert, pretty audience pictures, etc.) was just gravy.

They are probably starting this again in hopes they will get mad enough and just come out and officially tell the world they are indeed together so they can get their "money shot" Just leave these two alone already. In my opinion I don't know anyone who can spend 24/7 with someone especially in an environment like making breaking dawn must be. It has to get stressful no matter how much fun they say they are having. They are only normal and have to get exhausted which will lead to some crankiness. I love your site by the way. You do such a great job you can tell how much you love it as well as how much time is put into it. Keep up the good work.

Rhonda, I too am just sick about this whole shooting drama.
From what I've read, this was a disturbed young man who left letters saying he planned his assasination of Rep. Giffords. He, according to the early reports from investigators, did not like Rep. Giffords because of her party affiliation.
Most likely he had no intention making it out alive yesterday. Was most likely intending to commit suicide with the help of the Police.
He has a long history of mental illness it appears.

Rob signed on to the biggest project in his career and landed no less than Cronenberg's Cosmopolis and you couldn't devote a good blog on that? Been reading all of Rose's old posts and comments.(finally made it to 2010) It has been an interesting and angst ridden journey. Just want to say thank you Rose for all your honesty, you have made me rethink my journey as well.

At 11:00 AM Eastern time today there will be a moment of silence led by the President for those who lost their lives in the horrific tradegy in Arozina this past Saturday.
Wherever you are please honor those lost, those who survived and a state and a nation trying to understand why this tragedy occurred.
Annie, there is not explaination. This happened because a deranged young man, saw and heard what others were saying about this congresswoman in a re-election campaign. They never expected to be taken literally when they posted things like "Don't back down, reload". Unfortunately this person decided to take it literally. I do not blame those people who in the heat of a campaign said what they did. The only one at fault is the one who held the gun.
Just because we have the freedom to say something doesn't mean we should. There are consequences to every action whether they are good or bad.
