Rob and Kristen-- Flightless Birds

Yeah, I know Taylor is there... but it doesn't matter... you know?

Hi.
I know... I know.
I haven't had much to say the last couple of days.
I'm sorry.
Weekends kinda suck for me in terms
of having time to just sit and write about
what is going on in Twi-Land.
Also...
I went to see Breaking Dawn Part 1
The Twilight Saga
Or better known as the movie
that makes you wait a fucking year
for the the happily ever after.
Is that a spoiler?
Is it?
Because you've read the books, I assume...
So...
You KNOW how this story goes...
Right?
Anyway.
If you don't want to be 'spoiled'
I suggest you click out.
Ok?
Ok.

Kristen made a beautiful bride.

So yeah...
Friday afternoon
Me and my gf K went to see BD.
We had these VIP reserved seats.
Extra wide... extra cushy
And it was on this fucking ULTRA SCREEN
75 feet wide by 32 feet tall.
Yeah.
That's a lot of Robert.
Not that I'm complaining mind you.

The movie starts out rather light hearted...
Wedding prep
Bachelor parties
And then it is the big day.
Can I just say...
It lived up to ALL expectations?
Every damn one.

Bella being nervous... scared
as she is walking down the aisle
And then she sees Edward.

All I really saw was Edward’s face;
it filled my vision and overwhelmed my mind.
His eyes were a buttery, burning gold;
his perfect face was almost severe with the depth of his emotion.
And then, as he met my awed gaze,
he broke into a breathtaking smile of exultation.

 Bella Swan, Breaking Dawn

Yes folks...
Right out of the pages of the book.
And Kristen knocked it out of the park...
They both did.
And the kissing and the kissing
oh
the endless kissing....
Yeah.
They got a home run there too.

Kiss me once... then kiss me twice... then kiss me once again.

I tried to comprehend, through the film of tears blinding me,
the surreal fact that this amazing person was mine.

 Bella Cullen, Breaking Dawn

There is a scene where Jacob shows up at the wedding...
And he's all sweet to Bella...
and they dance.
And Bella is tearing up over it
And ok...
You know part of that was because this was the last
scene for Bella and Jacob.
But it was lovely.

You’d think I’d be used to telling you goodbye by now.

 Jacob Black, Breaking Dawn

I loved this movie.
It hit a lot of major points that I wanted to see.
And although there were lots of leaks
and stills from the movie online...
I was still pleasantly surprised at some of the things
that I had forgotten from the book.

The honeymoon was gorgeous.
And yeah...
Watching Bella and Edward 'try' to have sex...
Well.
It was pretty fucking hot from where I sat.
You can always tell when people have chemistry...
Whether or not there is some sort of attraction there
by the way they kiss each other.
And Robert and Kristen kissed each other
like they always kiss each other.
Like they've been doing it for years.
Which...
Of course...
They have.
On and off screen.
(Shut up... I had to get that in there)

Oh Edward....

Here's the thing...
Robert looked GREAT as Edward.
I know... right?
Those movie posters made him look like...
well.
Like a hundred year old vampire.
And he didn't in the movie.
Oh no.
He was all floppy hair
and Edward smiles.
He looked like a man so intoxicated...
So completely and totally in love.
(which he is)
And it was good to see Edward
smiling and laughing...
before he gets all angsty about the pregnancy.
Beller goes down hill fast.
I mean... she comes tumbling down that stupid hill

The birthing scene?
Gruesome.
Bloody.
But well done.
"come back to me baby..."
Yeah.
That is SO Robert... isn't it?

Needless to say...
The movie ended exactly where I knew it would.
I could have written it.
Show Bella going thru the 'change'
As she lays there... silently screaming...
And then she opens her red eyes.
Perfection.

Where else would they end it?
But my god...
Having to wait a year to see Vampire Bella
(and didn't she look like Snow White lying there?)
Is a bit long to wait.
But wait I will.

A year? Really??

How many times had I stared at Edward and marveled over his beauty?
How many hours – days, weeks – of my life had I spent dreaming about
what I then deemed to be perfection?
I thought I’d known his face better than my own.
I’d thought this was the one sure physical thing in my whole world:
the flawlessness of Edward’s face.
I may as well have been blind.
For the first time, with the dimming shadows and limiting weakness
of humanity taken off my eyes, I saw his face.
I gasped and then struggled with my vocabulary,
unable to find the right words.
I needed better words.

Bella Cullen, Breaking Dawn

 **************************************************
His touch seemed to sweep beneath the surface of my skin,
right through the bones of my face.
The feeling was tingly, electric –
it jolted through my bones, down my spine,
and trembled in my stomach.
Wait, I thought as the trembling blossomed into a warmth,
a yearning.
Wasn’t I supposed to lose this?
Wasn’t giving up this feeling a part of the bargain?

Bella Cullen, Breaking Dawn

The real deal.
 Final Thoughts.

1. The wolves were kinda strange in the movie.
There's a part where they talk thru their thoughts.
Um.
It was like watching a cartoon.
An amplified cartoon.

2. The Denali clan.
Those girls were supposed to be gorgeous?
Sorry.
Creepy.
Kinda Rosalie like.
And their eyes just looked weird.

3. Charlie rocks.
Funny... sweet...
Perfect.

4. I thought they handled the 'imprinting'
as well as could be expected.
Let's face it...
It's a bit bizarro.

5. Rob and Kristen were great.
Their chemistry was off the charts.
Taylor talks about certain scenes with Kristen
where it was just 'me and Kristen'
Well.
There are a few scenes in this move
that are completely 'Rob and Kristen' too.
They aren't hard to see.
A lot of sweet tender moments.

This post is brought to you by Flightless birds
and American Mouths
And English Boyfriends.

And Thomas Sturridge.

Have I found you?

 And by Robert and Kristen
Who are now safely ensconced in their
lovely London flat...
Where Kristen is baking pies
and testing recipes
and Robert is getting to eat all of it.

Repeat after me... Robert and Kristen ALWAYS end up TOGETHER.

 Yes.
They both live there.
Together.
Of course they do.

Robert could go anywhere else...
and where does he end up?
With Kristen.

I'm not sure why it made me so giddy and happy...
But it does.
I guess I'm glad that they are done with BD promo.
That Kristen is wrapping up an incredible movie soon...
And that they get to spend some quiet time
away from cameras
and screaming fans
And they can have some measure of peace.
They deserve it.

I hope they stay invisible
for however long they are there.
Leave them alone.
This is their time now.

Bye for now

Pleasant late night surprise!
Love the new banner pic & red background!
Pretty much nailed my thoughts on BD as well. I loved it!
Wonderful post, wonderful pix :)

Rob is probably relieved to be done with promo, he said in Berlin he was exhausted. Hope he gets some well-deserved downtime & relaxation with family, friends, and his girl.
Kristen has got to be nearing the home stretch on swath too, but until her well-deserved break comes, I'm sure there is a sweet man waiting at home for her after her long days on set.

Hope u all have a wonderful Monday! I'm gonna pop in a dvd & enjoy some chips & salsa before bed.

Awsome post Rose! I have at least 2 more viewings this week.;) I loved the whole think..except.."the talking wolves"...lol...now that creeped me out a bit! It just seemed wrong! My first thought was "really"? wth? Bill you were hitting a homerun here and than BAM! your backsliding!! But he recovered! ;) And you are right..The Denali's and Rose are related!! ;p

Love Ya Rose!! :)

Can't wait to see it again tonight.I am still totally blown away by Kristen's performance, she was incredible.

As for the Denali's well I must admit I can understand why Edward was willing to wait a century to find Bella :)

I really hope Rob and Kristen get some peace and quiet now, the paps need to leave them alone. There's absolutely no valid reason to take pictures of them arriving at and leaving their home!

Sierra said...

I couldn't have said it better myself you took every thought and posted it.

I loved the entire movie. I loved how she tried to get him to have sex with her by going to bed with the lingerie on lol it was funny. i also loved when she woke up that next morning and pulled peanut butter, yogurt and chicken out of the fridge to eat. (the pregnant thin to do) when i was pregnant i actually put peanut butter on my chicken after cooking it. you could not get me to do that now. lol...but I think the part I really anticipated the most is seeing her wedding dress which by the way was perfectly made just for her(i wonder what their going to do with it & the ring) but Kristen was beautiful. Rob was even more beautiful.
I think I anticipated that part the most, because it was the only thing kept a secret. We already knew everything else that was going to happen. i've seen it 3 times already.

Now that they have come out & comfirmed they are actually a couple (as if wwe didn't already know that) I wish them both the best and I seriously hope Kristen gets a break, because I saw her at the airport in London(i just left there) and she looked very very tired. but I am getting my picture and her signature blown up to put on my wall the minute i get back home.

P.S. I tried that meat recipe she gave out during one of her interviews! OMFG! it was delicious! it was gone in about 20 minutes. Everyone had a full plate.

Thank you, Rose. Beautiful post. Love all the quotes from the book :)

Can't say enough about the incredible performances from both Rob and Kristen- they did, as you said, knock it out of the park :)

I'm wishing them some much deserved down time. I hope it's spent in peace and privacy....

Happy Monday, everyone :)

Oh, and about the Denali sisters..definitely a little more creepy looking than beautiful ;)

Hi Rose,

Exellent post!

BD is AMAZING, this one and Twilight are my absolute favourite...alraedy seen it two times. Can't wait for the DVD to come out, to watch it over and over again (Crossing fingers, that the commentary will be just Rob and Kristen). I put my thoughts about the movie in the previous post...well tried too, but I have to say again that Robert and Kristen gave INCREDIBLE performances and I'm a happy and proud fan of them!!!

I agree, there are scenes in BD that are completely 'Rob and Kristen'. Their real life connection just shines out in the movie.

I wish Rob and Kristen much much hapiness, peace and relaxed time without people bothering them....they truly deserve it.

Happy Monday everyone

Thanks for the midnight post, Rose. It's great to have your take on the movie and the good bits you wrote about Rob/Kris/Taylor/Tom. Loved the pics and banner, too.

Good morning, Roselanders. I'm off to dreamland and hope to be here with you all soon.

Good morning dear Rose and Roseland,

Thank you Rose for a most beautiful post to wake up to on a rainy Monday morning. You nailed it! And the quotations from BD, Bella's thoughts, were perfect! Am so excited to think that perhaps in BDII we may see that change in the characters if we are allowed to look through Bella's vampire eyes.

Hear! Hear! May I repeat your words:

"And that they get to spend some quiet time
away from cameras
and screaming fans
And they can have some measure of peace.
They deserve it.

I hope they stay invisible
for however long they are there.
Leave them alone.
This is their time now."

Rose, just perfect! Amen!

Hugs for y'all.
Hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd.
Have an excellent Monday.
Life is good!

Have a happy Monday, everyone...take care! <3

Good morning Roseland!

We saw BD1 on Saturday night.........Loved it!
My brother-in-law aka (the harshest critic ever but a romantic at heart) did too to some extent.

There were so many moments that tugged at the heart( many already mentioned here)........The moment on the couch when Edward heard Renesmee for the first time, all of the honeymoon scenes, Bella's walk down the isle toward Edward (all the emotion of that scene, the
speeches)
The gut wrenching scene when it seemed that Bella would
not make it after giving birth.

Kristen was stunning in Bella's wedding dress as was the dress itself.

The sequence with the wolves thoughts didn't bother me
and I loved the ending with Bella opening her eyes as a new born vampire.
There was loud applause at the end of the movie.

Have a great Monday everyone.

I also hope for peace and quiet for Rob and Kristen now that BD1 promotion is over. As Rose said.......They deserve it.

What a treat to find a new Rose post this morning--and such a sweet one! It makes me happy to think that Rob and Kristen will have some down time together. They both work so hard!

I'm in a full blown Monday-before-Thanksgiving-freakout. We'll have 6 out of town guests Wed-Sun and there is so much to be done! It's my own fault because I'm such a procrastinator. (Perfect example, here I am in Roseland when I should be doing so many other things!)

Hugs to all the regs. I hope all of you are happy and well!

What a nice surprise to wake up to on a Monday morning!

I agree I really didn't think the Denali sisters were all that pretty either, more creepy.

Also I read a tweet yesterday (with a grain of salt) that more than 50% of movie goers that saw BD were over 25. This was true in my two viewings at least. It's amazing that Summit still sees it as a teen driven series. Shaking my head at their apparent head in the sand.

I saw that Hollywood and Dine interview. It was cute. Kristen loves to cook and Rob obviously loves to eat it. There are many fans that would love to see Kristen on a cooking show (not Martha-to dry). Maybe one day...

Time to make a dollar or two. Have a great day everyone!

Lovely post Rose. You picked some of my favourite quotes from the book.

I’m so pleased for Rob and Kristen that the movie is being met with favorable feedback from the fans. It must be very gratifying after all of their hard work. I hope Kristen’s work on SWATH continues to go well and that she gets a well earned rest soon. So glad for Rob that the promotion has ended and that he can rest or turn his attention to other interesting projects. I hope they enjoy some quiet time together.

Fio – I loved your new video. It put a big smile on my face.

DK – wow – Oscar Peterson – you have excellent taste.

I hope you have a good day everyone. Stay well all.

Wow, Rose was burning the midnight oil. This sums it all up nicely, I'd say.

I saw this article concerning the unjust hate that Twilight gets and why is female fantasy so feared. Good read and it was from Time.com which makes it even better.

My first time here. A lovely blog, Rose. And soothing music to boot. We're in agreement on pretty much everything...though the wolves grew on me after the second viewing. I just need to add one thing. Okay, I'm hardcore for Edward and Bella...and a Robstener in the bargain....and I truly despised Jacob Black in the books. I just need to get that out there so you know where I'm coming from when I say the Taylor Lautner really doesn't get enough credit. Rob and Kristen killed in BD...but I think that Taylor really uncorked it too.

R.

Robert,

I forgot to add my congratulations. It is so good to hear you are on the road to such a complete "cure". So lovely for you to actually have a great and tangible thing to be thankful for this season.

TwiHusband,

Welcome! I have heard about you since you are somewhat legendary being one of the few men willing to admit your affection for the Twilight story. It is so nice to have the male perspective and now we have 2 joining us.

Claire said...

PL - That's a fantastic article. Fanboys can go and fuck themselves. They need to get a life instead of spending their time stuck in their parents basement tossing themselves off to X-Factor.

They've had it all their own way when it comes to Box office for too long. They hate the fact that a series of films directed at females is destroying their comic book movies at the box office.

Rosey said...

Perfect post Ros in the lea of BD 1. I too felt the film exceeded my expectations in as much as I had great difficulty, in parts, separating Rob and Kristen from Edward and Bella, but for me this is what makes Twilight what it is. Their chemistry is always mind blowing.

angelica1 said...

Claire - It's Strictly, not X-factor ;P

Rosey said...

Sorry Rose - I can spell your name - honest!!!

I also meant to say that I wish peace and quiet for R/K too. Let's hope the paps (and fans) leave them in peace for a while. We don't need to see pix of them every day coming and going from their house, it's ridiculous

Thanks, that's a really great article :)

Mary said...

Angelica,

What is Strictly? I've heard them referring to it on Graham Norton.

Claire said...

PL - 'Strictly Come Dancing' is the UK version of 'Dancing With The Stars'

Mary said...

Leni and Claire,

The thing I liked about the article is that the author isn't what is commonly referred to as an "unfulfilled woman with no life". She is obviously well educated and intelligent. She's an educator and an administrator at Harvard for cripes sake.

angelica1 said...

PL - What Claire said :)

Mary said...

Thanks Claire and Angelica.

Are the stars the attraction or the dancers? On Dancing with the Stars the stars are usually has-beens. I mean we've had Cloris Leachman on there.

Claire said...

PL - With Breaking Dawn making the best part of $300m in one weekend I can picture fanboys all around the globe getting all hot and bothered with steam coming out of their ears. And this makes me very happy LOL

angelica1 said...

PL - It's pretty much has beens, no one with a proper career has time.LOL

Dottie said...

Just taking a breather and peeking in . I need Roseland Rehab apparently!

PL, Thanks for sharing that article.

Welcome TwiHusband! It's always fun to get the male perspective. I agree w/you about Taylor. His scenes w/Kristen have always been his strongest throughout the saga IMO. They have a very natural, easy vibe together.

Hi Angelica, Claire, and Leni!

OK back to work I go! :P

Leni said...

Hi dottie :)

@angelica & PL:
The Austrian version of Dancing with the Stars is pretty much the same - you don't even know who these "stars" are or for what exactly they are famous for LOL

LJ said...

Hi everyone!

Just peeking in as I went to see Breaking Dawn yesterday and I loved it. I thought Kris and Rob were perfect but as people have previously commented I also thought Taylor was really great in this one.

I rarely cry when I watch films...it almost never happens...and I was fine all the way through Breaking Dawn until Kristen was in the bathroom and took her robe off. Then tears just started rolling down my face...she looked so poorly! I'm blaming it on the fact I went to see it yesterday morning after being out the night before...I was a bit delicate! ha.

Hope everyones great, love the new banner Rose!

Massive love to you all.

Liza

Claire said...

LJ - OMG that scene with her in the bathroom is heartbreaking. All of the bones sticking out of her back :(

Berry said...

Love your new banner Rose! Perfect! What a great weekend I had! First I got to see Breaking Dawn with my daughter and friends. Then my non-ranked NC State beat #8 ranked Clemson in football Sat afternoon and I was there in Raleigh to see it first hand! Good fucking weekend! Breaking Dawn was soooo good! Lots of loving...Edwards come on baby was one of the best lines! I agree the wolfpack thing left alot to be desired. The ending was PERFECT! So bad we have to wait a year for the part 2! I always love seeing Rob and Kristen but hate that the Paps are camping out at THEIR apartment...feel bad for them. Can not wait to see BD again this week! Have a good one everyone!

LJ said...

Hi Claire,

I know, shes so beautiful it just broke my heart to see her like that! great effects though it looked very real.

Rose...enjoyed your BD review! LOVE the banner!

"Come back to me, baby...."
my favorite line in the movie...so Rob/Edward.

Hi Everyone!

Robert...so happy to hear your excellent news!

Claire said...

LJ - The make up department and special effects team deserve great praise for the way they transformed her. She looked especially bad during the birth and her death. On the other hand she has never looked more beautiful on screen than she did in the first half of the film. She wore the shit out of that wedding dress.

Dani said...

Great post Rose :)
Nice to read your thoughts about the movie.

I talked about this on the previous post, regarding the love scene (which I loved but thought it was too short, too fast and too dark, lol), but here is the link:

http://edition.cnn.com/2011/11/21/showbiz/movies/breaking-dawn-box-office-ew/index.html?iref=allsearch

CNN is reporting that only 30% of BD's audience was under 18...

"Summit reports that "Breaking Dawn" attracted a crowd that was, unsurprisingly, 80 percent female. What is surprising is that the PG-13 movie's audience wasn't as young as you'd think, with 60 percent over the age of 21. According to CinemaScore, 30 percent of the film's audience was under 18, but an even larger 42 percent was between the ages of 18 and 34. The popular conception is that The "Twilight Saga" is merely a teenage phenomenon, but these figures seem to prove otherwise."

Director's cut on the DVD? ;)

Claire said...

dd - That's all the information they'll ever need to release an R-Rated DVD.

Dani said...

@Claire, fingers crossed, lol.

This would be a win-win situation for everyone, right? More money for the studio and the fans could finally see the scene as it was originally filmed. I suppose that if the director and the actors filmed the scene in a certain way, before the rating thing, it's because they thought it was the best way to portray it, right? Sooo, it's good for them too, right? :P

Claire said...

dd - It would make a stack of money. I'm not holding my breath though, this Summit Entertainment after all.

Birdie said...

Rose,
Knew you would love BD and couldn't agree more. Fabulous pictures today!

PL,
Thank you for the article. Very interesting. I read the "7 Harshest Jabs". I believe it is easy for these critics to rip Twilight and to belong to an elite group of snobs, they feel they must.
MILLIONS of fans that love these movies and find them thoroughly entertaining can't be all wrong. The author of the article understands that this is fantasy and we all like to indulge in fantasy. I would rather my daughters enjoy these films than go to Saw I,II,III...
I actually try not to read reviews on movies that I want to see and know I will enjoy. I don't need some twit that enjoys ripping a movie just for the sake of it, to tell me what I find entertaining. $300 million in a weekend and all I have heard is that everyone will see it multiple times? I would be a bit worried about my credibility if I were them, they completely missed the mark.
OK,done with the rant.

Claire said...

Birdie - I've always get the feeling that a lot of critics are frustrated actors. They were never quite good enough when they were younger so they decided to take on a job where they could rip something/someone apart that didn't meet their standards.

I've absolutely no problem with critics saying they don't like a certain movie or an actors performance. But when they do a character assassination on somebody that's when I get mad.

Teeth said...

I think I am as addicted to Rose's posts as I am to Rob and Kristen!

Your so right on!! Saw the movie twice and loved it both times. I'm gonna go again lol. I think they did a great job, the birth scene was crazy. Kristen looked skeletal, and so frail. ________

A WOMAN'S WEEK AT THE GYM
________________________________

Dear Diary,
For my birthday this year, I purchased a week of personal training at the local health club. Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try. I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Christo, who identified himself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear. Friends seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.
________________________________

MONDAY:
Started my day at 6:00 am. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Christo waiting for me. He is something of a Greek god-- with blond hair, dancing eyes, and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!! Christo gave me a tour and showed me the machines.. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which he conducted his aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring! Christo was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time he was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week!!
________________________________

TUESDAY:
I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Christo made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air then he put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile. His rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT! It's a whole new life for me.
_______________________________

WEDNESDAY:
The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot. Christo was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. His voice is a little too perky for that early in the morning and when he scolds, he gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying. My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Christo put me on the stair monster. Why the hell would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Christo told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. He said some other shit too.
_______________________________

THURSDAY:
As**hole was waiting for me with his vampire-like teeth exposed as his thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late-- it took me that long to tie my shoes. He took me to work out with dumbbells. When he was not looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. He sent some skinny bitch to find me. Then, as punishment, he put me on the rowing machine -- which I sank.

FRIDAY:
I hate that bastard Christo more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anaemic, anorexic, little aerobic instructor. If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat him with it. Christo wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the damn barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich. The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?

SATURDAY:
Satan left a message on my answering machine in his grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing his voice made me want to smash the machine with my planner; however, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel.

SUNDAY:
I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my husband will choose a gift for me that is fun-- like a root canal or a hysterectomy . I still say if God had wanted me to bend over, he would have sprinkled the floor with diamonds!!!

Have a good night all.

How is everyone doing this evening? What a relief Breaking Dawn is finally out. I saw it Friday with three other friends of mine. We have seen every single one of these movies together and going tomorrow night with my girls. I'm a little hesitant about bringing them to see this one. I told them there is one seen "baby making" that they will definitely have to close their eyes and cover their ears! I still don't know though. I've allowed them to watch the first three and they are begging me everyday!!! I absolutely loved the movie! Rob, Kristen, and Taylor were awesome!!! It doesn't seem like Taylor lets anything bother him. He's really a great guy. I mean it's been four movies and I have never heard him say one crossed word about anything. I have to give it to him and wish him nothing but success in his career too. And it is obvious the three of them are life long friends. I thought the wedding toasts were adorable and Billy Burke was great in this one as well. I also think we have alot of deleted scenes but thanks to the pics and the interviews I can piece them together in my mind. I hope Jack Morrissey is listening to all those requests for the R rated version! I have to add that out of all those interviews and premieres, my favorite Rob-ism is when he said "I almost wore purple tonight. Kristen is wearing purple." LOL-he wants to match clothes with her too!!! Rob/Kristen are so adorable. How beautiful was she at the London premiere??? She was gorgeous! I wish them all the happiness that they have brought to so many of us in this whole world!!! I have a feeling this next year will pass very fast! Goodnight Roseland!

@Freddie
Such a delightfully funny story, that I can almost relate to, if I worked out! Instead, I am patting myself on the back that I don't. Thanks, luv.

@Anna
Nice review & observations on BD1. I remember having to cover my eyes in some movies my mother took me to, and it was fun to feel like I was in on some kind of adult secret, that I couldn't understand.

@IB
You are missed, too.

So many of the comments that have been posted on Roseland, made me smile. When I went to see BD for the second time tonight, I kept on smiling.

I found it to be very sweet and tender, especially the scenes of Edward/Bella, Taylor and the Cullens. They are family. We are family.

She's got your eyes
She's got my nose
Oh, and I get high
Just watching her grow

We always dreamed
We'd live in a castle, oh but
We're in the same old shack
Sometimes we get into a hassle
But we always take each other back

Oh, you know
This whole world seems
To be in a hurry
But darlin'
We'll just keep on taking our time

'Cause we're living
Such a sweet life
Oh what a neat life
Sharing my love with you

Oh, we're living
Such a sweet life
Oh what a neat life
Making our dreams come true
We're makin our dreams come true

You are my love
You are my life
Oh, and I get high
Just holding you tight

We always dreamed we'd
Make a lot of money, oh but
I don't mind being poor
'Cause when you make love to me
Honey
I couldn't ask for anymore

Oh, you know all our friends
Seem to be in a hurry
But darlin' we'll just
Keep on taking our time

Dance Me To The End Of Love

The Civil Wars:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0LZ4wMV3zw

Dance me to your beauty
With a burning violin
Dance me through the panic
'til I'm gathered safely in

Lift me like an olive branch
And be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Oh let me see your beauty
When the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving
Like they do in Babylon

Show me slowly what I only
Know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the wedding now
Dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly
And dance me very long

We're both of us beneath our love
We're both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the children
Who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains
That our kisses have outworn

Raise a tent of shelter now
Though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to your beauty
With a burning violin
Dance me through the panic
Till I'm gathered safely in

Touch me with your naked hand
Or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love

Bella Swan Understood This

Needles And Thread

Sleeping At Last:

ImEvZZcg

When the world welcomes us in
We're closer to Heaven
Than we'll ever know

They say this place has changed
But strip away
All of the technology
And you will see

That we all are hunters
Hunting for something
That will make us okay

Here we lay alone
In hospital beds
Tracing life in our heads

But all that is left
Is that this was our entrance
And now it's our exit
As we find our way home

And all the blood and all the sweat
That we invested to be loved
Follows us, into our end
Where we begin to understand

We are made of love
And all the beauty
Stemming from it

We are made of love
And every fracture caused
By the lack of it

"You were a million years of work,"
Said God and His angels
With needle and thread

They kissed your head and said
"You're a good kid
And you make us proud
So just give your best
And the rest will come
And we'll see you soon."

Maybe Hollywood was right
When the credits have rolled
And the tears have dried

And the answers
That we have been dying to find
Are all pieced together
And, somehow
Made perfectly mine, mine, mine
Made perfectly mine

We are made of love
And all the beauty
Stemming from it

We are made of love
And every fracture
Caused by the lack of love
Caused by the lack of love

Her Eyes

Sebastian Sturm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAeVpA1VMro

Her eyes
Reflect the universe
Her eyes

The deeper truth
Of everything
Lies in her eyes

Her eyes absorb
The darkest hours
At night they shine
And show the way
Through the maze

Whatever I've been looking for
Whatever I've been craving
It's right there
And I'm not waiting anymore
In the front of a wide open door

And I dare to walk the path
That leads away from everything
I've never known

So wise
More than a thousand words
So wise

More than any book could say
Is written in her eyes
Her eyes

To not be seen by all
To have a place to hide
She uses a disguise

Her eyes are guns that hit me
Right inside my heart
And I've got to be careful

Not to be torn apart
By those eyes
Those magic eyes
Her eyes

Good morning dear Rose and Roseland,

It is raining again this morning! A heavy, lengthy rain. How wonderful!

Freddie, I was crying from having laughed so hard while reading your giftie for us. What a "highlarious" gym diary! Thank you for such a fun read this morning with my cuppa. ( I will limit myself to yoga. )

Dear DK, the songs look wonderful from last night, will catch up and listen to them this afternoon after school.

Wishing that the hearings going on in England will result in stricter rules limiting the ratzzi intrusions.
Hoping Rob and Kristen can somehow be spared all that ugly invasion of privacy.

Have a lovely Tuesday. Vacay begins tomorrow!
Hugs for y'all.
Hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd.

Good Morning Roseland...I meant to say more about your post Rose...I LOVED your inclusion of quotes from the book! So many people have not read the book and I'm glad you showed them snippets of what they are missing. Also I meant to "throw a fit"...haha..about us all having to wait a year...a frigin YEAR...why????...June sounds reasonable...November...that is CRUEL...omg..I suppose the powers that be might say that the special effects department has to do major work to make Renesmee be a walking talking baby...lol...I hope that is their excuse although I wonder I'd it's all about money???(most likely). PRPRO may have a better take on it! Anyway I will suck it up and deal with it ...since I have no other choice:) Happy Tuesday Everybody!

Good morning all!

Freddie,
After just returning home from the gym, I so appreciated your story. I tried a trainer once, hated it. Who wants someone there watching you grimace through your exercises? Anyway, very funny!

Hope everyone has a great day. Hope the papz leave Rob and Kristen alone, so fucking annoying! I can't even imagine.

Shout out to Rose, Smitty, Gruff and Syd!

@Freddie: I can hardly type trying to catch my breath... your "story" about a woman's week at the Gym was incredibly funny!! My favorite day was Wednesday :) Thanks for giving me such a good laugh to start my very busy day!

DK: Love the songs you posted... you are truly inspired!

Good morning to the Roseland early birds; Olivia, Birdie, Super, & IB

Can't wait to see BD for the second time... after reading some of your more observant comments, I'm beginnning to think I saw a different movie than the rest of you! Seriously, I think I held my breath through most of the movie... just LOVED it!

I am thankful for Rose and her wonderful comunity of friends here...love to Smitty, Gruff, and Syd <3

ROSE COOL BANNER! GREAT POST AS USUAL! voh shoots, please forgave the caps, and hello you beautiful ladies and hi twi husband!

Motherhin said...

@Twihusband, I have to say that when I was talking with my husband about the movie, I told him that Kristen and Taylor really stood out to me. People criticize Taylor for the Jacob character being stiff and angry but those people obviously haven't read Twilight because in the end, that's how Jacob is until he imprints of course. I always think Taylor gets Jacob and plays him exactly the way I see him when I read it.

Claire said...

Motherhin - Taylor seems to be an easy target for some people. People need to remember he is still very inexperienced as an actor. Outside of Twilight he's only done a couple of films when he was a young kid, a small role in 'Valentine's Day', and Abduction.

He's got better with each film he has done and is developing his craft just nicely. He's also a very nice young man, which makes me root for him even more.

Claire said...

Gary Oldman has ruled himself out of 'Akira'. Although he has made some strange choices in the past (Red Riding Hood), as a fan I'm glad he's not doing this.

Kenzz said...

@Claire: Two thumbs up! Couldn't agree more :)

Claire said...

*bit.ly/viNGhd*

:'''''''D I could listen to this man wax lyrical about Rob all day every day.

Hi kenzz

Kenzz said...

Claire: My agreement was with your comments on Taylor (since I know NOTHING about this Akira thing)

Hope you're having a great week!

Kenzz said...

Has anyone tried Martha Stewart's turkey draped in cheesecloth recipe? I made it a few years ago, but honestly can't remember if it was a success or failure!

As i recall, you soak the cheesecloth in a mixture of melted butter & white wine, than drape it over the Thanksgiving turkey to protect it while roasting. I believe you're supposed to remove it during the end of cooking time to brown up the skin?

Mary said...

Freddie,

Very funny story last night. I absolutely abhor exercise. The treadmill is about all I can tolerate.

Kenzz,

I don't follow any of Martha Stewart's recipes after I saw her make her own marshmallows. Who makes mashmallows? I would imagine you would have to take the cheesecloth off for it to brown, but my question is, what prevents the cloth from sticking to the skin?

You said earlier that the holiday decorating is your forte so what is your centerpiece this year?

Kenzz said...

PL: Haven't found that ideal centerpiece yet ( perfectionist that I am!)... I need something that will lay low on the table so that we can all see above it to converse with each other...I've got all the candles and vases situated just so, and finished up my mantle decor last night! Now I'm working on the dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, etc :( NOT FUN

How about with you? Are you hosting, or traveling this year?

Anna said...

Hi Everyone! My daughters and I went to see Breaking Dawn again tonight. I much rathered to watch this time. I think I was so full of anticipation and butterflies I didn't really see it the first time! I could sware I heard another American accent come out of Rob in some scenes. His voice is different to me in BD. Also, reading the book so many times and knowing Rob's thoughts from all the interviews on some scenes didn't help either. Like the scene where Jacob is warming up her up and Edward is there ready to catch her vomit...I remember him saying Edward should have thrown the vomit at Jacob...lol! My girls loved it...had to sugar coat some questions of theirs and I did make them cover their heads for the honeymoon scene so all they heard was music and not Kristen's noises! We all know that ended up on the cutting room floor! I read where Marcus Foster will be playing in London tomorrow! He tweeted this himself. I bet Rob/Kris will be there!

wig4usc said...

Hello, Roseland!

Went to see BD for the 2nd time over the weekend. I liked having some time to process and see again. My fave scenes still when Rob says "Baby..." - swoon. Cried again, too. I love the soundtrack even more, now that the music fills my head with the corresponding scene!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Lovely post Rose :)
I share pretty much all your feelings about BD.
i found the wolves talking scene a bit funny too and honestly?
I always find generally creepy the way they portray vampires in the series.
Is it me or Rob and even Peter or anyone else looks more stunning in real life than when wearing "vampire clothes"? I mean, they are just more beautiful when not playing vampires and it's supposed to be the other way...
I'm curious to know how they'll deal with Kristen lol there's no way to make her look even more beautiful than she already is...

"Come back to me, please, baby..." -
that broke my heart... I could recall the times Rob said how difficult it was to shoot that thing, with Kristen looking dead... :(
anyway i was re-reading BD last night and didn't even realize how many actual quotes the movie took from there. Was more than glad to aknowledge that hehe

TwiHusband- so nice to see you here :)
that brings us to two men here :D or well, four actually haha

Robert- so glad to hear you're recovering fine!

Freddie- lol at the diary-joke haha

Claire- i love him talking about how amazing the trailer is awwww
And love how Cronenberg talk about him and Bill about Kristen lol. it says a lot about them.

btw, just asking in case, do you know anything yet about the SWATH premiere in London?

Freddie, Birdie, ali mac, DK- thanks so much. Glad you liked it!

I'd better go back to private law now... kill me please...

Have a good day Roseland!

Hi everyone! Good morning!

Brilliant post Rose! Thank you! I read listening Turning Page... Perfect!

I watched BD for four times and there was enough... I want again and again and again...

I loved BD... but...my heart stopped when...
1º - Edward was listening the baby and kissing Bella's belly... Pure emotion!
2º - Edward saying..."Come back to me, baby..." ( Yes Rose! Was Rob! Only Rob )
3º - Edward speaking in portuguese with so much feeling ...(sorry, I can't avoid) cheating or not Rob melted my heart ... I was like jelly ... I could hear him talk all day ...

Amazing BD! Bill did an excellent job!
Very hard to wait a year... very hard...

Happy for Robert and Kristen are enjoying some time together, resting, loving, listening to good music ... They deserve!

DK, missed you... pity...
I'll be out for a while, visiting the new clan member! My beautiful niece Sofia, daughter of my only brother who lives in Rio ... a bit of sun, sea, rain ( I think) and enjoy the Baby Sofia ...

See you soon and enjoy BD!

I really love all the praise Rob gets from David Cronenberg and Kristen from Bill Condon!

It's great to hear how Rob talks about SWATH <3

I read this quote by Carolina Herrera:
"In the initial fitting when Kristen put the dress on and looked in the mirror, she was very moved. In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film, she was a bride, and a happy one at that."
:''')

Sadly. the paparazzi seem to be waiting in front of Rob and Kristen's apartment nowadays :(
Both gave us so much during BD promo - they REALLY deserve some peace and quiet IMO..

My best friend got us two tickets for BD tonight (general release is tomorrow)!
I can't wait :)

Have a great Wednesday everyone :)

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Tonight is the biggest bar night of the year so be careful if you are out and about.

Question for all the bakers here:

Has anyone ever assembled an apple pie a day ahead and then baked it the next morning? I'm concerned about the crust being soggy or the apples an unappetizing color.

Dottie said...

Happy day before Thanksgiving! Things are a little crazy here. We are preparing for company to arrive this afternoon, plus beginning the cooking for tomorrow.

PL, I think you're probably right about the crust getting soggy and the apples getting brown on that pie.

Have a great day everyone!

ali mac said...

I wouldn't make up an apple pie and leave it overnight as the pastry would go all soggy and grey I think. You would be better making your pastry the day before and leaving it wrapped in cling-film (you might call it ceran wrap)in the fridge, pastry is easier to work with if it's chilled. then it should only take 10mins to throw it all together. Or just cook it the night before and reheat it just before you need it.

Whatever you decide hope you enjoy it ;)

Whitney said...I saw the movie as well, and I loved it! I thought there was a great balance of romance, drama, action and humor. I loved the wedding and honeymoon scenes, I wish there was more. I thought the birth scene was wonderfully done, very dramatic and intense, without showing too much. The only thing I didn't think that worked was the wolves hearing each other in their minds.
