Rob and Kristen- Bullshit Day

Rob in London? Color me SURPRISED (or not)

Today is 'Boxing Day' in the UK...
I'm thinking it's 'Bullshit Day' in this fandom.

Let's discuss.

1. I had a lot to catch up on from the last couple of days.
Well... not really.
Just a lot of bullshit drama.
Par
For
The
Course.

2. THE BIGGEST MOST STUPENDOUS NEWS OF ALL????
Robert Pattinson went home to London for Christmas!!!
NO WAY!
COME ON!!!
Oh wait...
Is anyone really surprised?
My great aunt Eleanor even knew Rob would go home for the holidays.
It was THAT transparent.
And oh yeah...
Why was it such a huge deal to the foaming masses?
Um... because for some desperate reason...
They would like to believe that somehow Rob going home
for Christmas is somehow related to him not being with Kristen...
The rabid seem to see it as some sort of delusional victory.
Over what? Over who?
That is yet to be determined.
(At least if you are not frothing and foaming at the mouth)

3. And I don't mean to disparage the girl story who took the above pic...
I mean... she obviously happened to luck out and see Rob at a pub...
But
RPatz @ “pub” in London "It’s from tonight, it’s London, about an hour ago (thats about 00.30 in London) N ( the one on the right) spoke to him for about 40 mins, shook his hand, got a ciggie from him (she doesn’t smoke) and he kissed her cheek!

Sorry. I call bullshit.
Not that she saw him... oh no... I believe that.
But she claims to have talked to him for 40 mins, received a cig
shook his hand AND he kissed her on the cheek...
Yet...
All she could manage was a kinda stalkerific picture of him
where she was pretending to take a pic of her and her friend...
And trying like hell to get him in the background.
40 minutes.
Handshake.
KISS on the cheek.
And no picture?
Surely anyone Rob would kiss on the cheek he would
agree to one quick picture?
And while she may have had conversation with him...
and even pretended to smoke to get a cig off him...
Fine and dandy.
But the kiss on the cheek?
Sorry.
Ain't buying it.
Rob isn't a random stranger 'kiss on the cheek' kinda guy.
Shy, awkward, adorkable Rob?
Big Red Flag.
I might have actually believed the story up until that part.

And people always howl about how no cameras EVER work
when Rob and Kristen are out...
Yet just ONE pic of Rob at the pub?
Where are all the cameras?
Maybe because people don't want to be rude...
Or maybe because not everyone whips out a camera
everytime Rob and/or Kristen are around.

THIS will happen VERY soon... If it didn't already.

Where am I on the count?
3?
No.

4. Kristen.
Where is Kristen Stewart?

See....here's the thing.
LOTS of blather about her heading to London with Rob.
And then ...
ONE person tweets that she sees Kristen in L.A.
and that is taken as gospel?
WHAT?
ONE person who claims to have seen Kristen...
Not numerous sightings...
ONE PERSON.

SO LET IT BE WRITTEN!
SO LET IT BE DONE!

Really?
Is that how it works now?
No 'pics or it didn't happen' fits in here?
Just one random person's word that she saw Kristen in L.A.?
Interesting.
Why not believe the people who saw her in London?

So I could ask my friend who lives in London...
To tweet that he saw Kristen at a pub with Robert..
Then what?
Would it be so easily believed and taken as fact?

Fascinating how it all works... yes?

Personally...
IF Kristen isn't aleady with Robert in London...
(Bwa.Ha.Ha.Ha.Ha. She is NINJASTEW after all.)
She is on her way...
And she WILL be with Rob.
Tomorrow.
And then what?
More screams of PR!
More screeching that she needs to stay away from him?
More delusional howling that it doesn't 'mean anything'?
Yeah.
Pretty much.

Keep chasing that tail... I'm sure you will catch it... Someday. Or not.

5. Thing is...
If Kristen has been with Robert in London all along...
Or if she shows up Tomorrow...
It doesn't change a thing.
Not one thing.
They will be together.
As always.

A couple of days apart here and there...
Mean nothing in the scope of any real relationship.
And believe me...
It doesn't get any more real than what Rob and Kristen share.

6. And stop with the 'fake' Twirling.
Sorry.
One. You're not good at it... (and really...how original.)
Two. Bitter Haters can't Twirl.
And
Three. It's not really twirling.
You are mistaking symptoms of Rabies as twirling...

Rabies specific symptoms may include insomnia, anxiety (about Rob being with Kristen) , confusion (Thinking that Rob and Kristen aren't real)  slight or partial paralysis, excitation (Foaming over Rob being in London), hallucinations (Thinking that every time Rob and Kristen are together is PR), agitation (Being extremely bitter and angry all the time), hyper-salivation (That would be all the FOAMING) violent movements and uncontrolled excitement (That would be what you have sadly misinterpreted as *Twirling*... Poor things)

This post is brought to you by the letter *N*

You ain't seen NOTHING yet.

Believe it.

Bye for now

I dont understand the BIG WIN for these rabies infected? Sooooooo Rob was in London for Christmas.... too see his family..... Like last year... and who was he with in that pic that was somehow released last week taken last Christmas? Oh Kristen maybe? I mean this does not take a fucken brain surgeon too figure out. If Kristen isn't there "yet" dont worry hyena, those two cant stand too be apart for too long as the past as proven many many many many many many many many many many times. :)

BIG snow storm here Roseland. I am stuck in the house feeling bored and a bit feisty. lol

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. I want to hit some sense into people, & hit the pub lady, too. Some people really have not a hint of COMMON SENSE. Bunch of idiots.

A Grudge? No...Rose calls out the crazy hyena and over obsessed bullshit that is spewed. I do not call that a "grudge" I call that being one brave, real, take no shit take no prisoners, type of girl.

katie said...

the girl who posted the kstew sighting in LA also went on to badtalk her like only a nonsten can so yeah, I call bullshit on that too.

And please, Robert by all accounts in BR keeps to himself and makes no eye contact with all these people who WANT his time in some form. Robert has spoken about him having private space issues and not like being touched since being famous-remember the interview with kristen about how he tries to do his own hair even so the stylists don't touch him cause of his issues with strangers touching him.

Total bullshit on the cheek kiss too.

katie said...

I don't think the bartender tweet was too exciting, she probably had a christmas dress on and he commented on it. no biggie.

Rose-
So is it a sign of rabies if I fall asleep while chatting with you or do I just say I'm really sorry and embarrassed??? I am--so sorry. See you thought it was rude when I just say ttyl and go....I actually found a way to be even worse.

Cute blog--I don't know what or why the people who harass you say this crazy stuff but I'm sorry you have to deal with it all.

Hey Roseland--Hope you all had a good holiday and are enjoying time with your families and friends.

Melinda said...

All I have to say about this post is people are silly/crazy.

Did you know that Prince William and Kate Middleton did not spend Christmas together??? Shocker, yes? I mean they are engaged FFS! (can you tell I am being sarcastic here?)

Why do people care so much about where Rob and Kristen spend the holidays? People should be concentrating on making their own happy moments with their family and friends.

Wherever they are hope they are having fun!

Okay on with the show....

Hello to all of my Roseland friends. I hope you are all recovering from the festivities.

Saw True Grit yesterday. Go see it if you can. Best film I have seen in awhile. And a bonus is that the WFE trailer is shown before.

For those of you who are braving the crazy weather going on...be safe.

Susan- Have fun tonight. Hope you have a ta-da moment! LOL!

angelica1 said...

Seriously, do these morons have lives at all?? The rest of the world, Rob & Kristen included, are busy enjoying Christmas with their families and friends while these sad freaks are obsessing over which side of the pond they're on? I'd pity them but frankly I'm going to get another glass of wine.

angelica1 said...

Hey Smitty, hope you had a good Christmas :)

Anonymous said...

Hi Melinda---I've missed talking with you and the rest....Hope you are well!

Anonymous said...

Hi Angelica--

I did have a nice happy one. How about you??

RKsoulmates913 said...

I couldn't agree more with youuu! You read my mind, but you speak up, you speak it out loud, and i amazes me! You are wonderful!
About the girl and her 40 minutes and no pics and blahblahblah, and do you know what else? She had FORTY FUCKING MINUTES with ROB and what she has to say is "talk, cigs and kiss/cheek??? LOL
There is no 'fan encounter' anywhere? She kept it a secret? Hah, something doesn't fit in her story. Yeah, as you said, she was luck to be there and to see Rob.

Love your blog, love your wise words!

XO from Brazil
Happy Holidays!

Hi Smitty, Hope you had a great Holiday. :)

Angelica, please pour me a glass too. I am going a bit nutty from being stuck in the house all day because 2 feet of snow is a falling out here. lol

angelica1 said...

Smitty - Good to hear, I did too. I need to stop drinking soon though, I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and I'm going to have the hangover from hell!!

Melinda said...

Hey Smitty- me too! I am well except for the cold that has caught me. Oh well what can you do?

Hope Santa was good to you.

Hey Angelica- hope you had a great Christmas.

angelica1 said...

30 - I'll pour you a nice big glass, it's thawing here at present but we have more snow forecast tomorrow

Anonymous said...

Ha Angelica you are supposed to drink AT the wedding--not before!! Lol--have fun.

Hi 30! Wow--2 feet! I heard the east coast is having some blizzard and crazy weather. Stay safe and warm--sounds kind of cozy if you don't have to be out in it I guess.

RKsoulmates913 said...

Yeah nobody knows a thing about RK and the whereabout for Christmas. We faithful fans are just happy they are healthy, happy and together, and it doesn't matter if they are in the same city or not, they are TOGETHER! :)

Anonymous said...

Hey Melinda--I've been a bit sick too. Weird fever and just kind of worn out. Good excuse to be really lazy. Hope you are better soon!

Melinda said...

Angelica/30

Does taking Nyquil count for alcohol??? Ha, ha! That's what I am jacked up on right now.

Rose said...

Oh my dear Smitty... Falling asleep isn't a sign of rabies... It's a sign that you are a girl who is sick and needs her rest!
Besides... I got to talk to Gruff for a little bit. So it was Good!

Please take care of yourself sweet girl so that you are well enough to ring in the New Year properly! ;)

Enjoy your movies <3

Rhonda said...

Hello Everyone,

Rose that was so funny! I especially loved the synopsis of rabies symptoms..so appropriate today. When will people realize it doesn't matter where they spent Christmas..they are and will be together.
Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday:)

Hi Angelica..hope you didn't have to work too long on Christmas Eve.

itsyblue said...

Hope Kristen got a flight out before snow hit. It's rough in the east. Are there direct flight from LA to London???

angelica1 said...

Melinda - I think it probably does but I'd throw in some vodka or something too, a friend told me the other week that cold symptoms go away temporarily if you drink alcohol so I felt compelled to test her theory and she was right! I'm going to keep drinking just in case it comes back though ;)

Melinda said...

Smitty-

Lazy is good. I don't ever need an excuse to be though. LOL!

Hope you feel better soon as well!

Kami said...

I seriously do not understand why people care so much where they spent the holiday, nor do I like the fact that the person who tweeted that she'd seen Kristen in L.A. had been calling her SWCNBN earlier...which I found out stood for "She who cannot be named". Which to me says that she's not a fan and is willing to do or say anything to prove "HER" Robert isn't with Kristen..

Seriously those people need to get a fucking life.

LJ said...

Hey everyone...hope you all had a very merry christmas!

Boxing day always means tiredness for me, bored of eating and drinking and a little bit hungover!

I hope no-one gets any more pictures with either Kris or Rob....keep em guessing I say, why anyone thinks they have a right to an opinion on anything they should or shouldn't be doing is beyond me! If someone tried to tell me where I 'should' be spending Christmas, I'd tell them to kiss my festive ass! (can you tell I'm still feeling a bit delicate?...lol).

Love to all!...enjoy the bank holidays :-D

Smitty my friend! love & hugs and all kinds of stuff like that...I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas...and have an awesome new year if I don't get to speak to you before!

Liza

angelica1 said...

Hi Rhonda -No,I managed to leave just after lunch for the first time ever!!

Anonymous said...

Hey Rose--thanks for understanding. I'm sorry I did that though. I guess I'm worn out and just catching up.
The movies are on hold. I'm content to surf a bit and Gruff and friends are out for a bit.

LIZA--woman how are you??? Good to "see" you and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I like this whole Boxing day thing. Christmas is too much fun to shove into one day.

Rhonda said...

Angelica-that's great! I had to stay all day but it worked out. Exhausting but we had a great Christmas.s

Melinda,

NyQuil defiantly gives me a buzz then I fall a sleep. So I say it counts.lol To be honest, I am in the mood for the real stuff :) but stuck in the dam house because of the northeast blizzard, getting too the liquor store, well not happening.

Melinda said...

Angelica- I may need to test your theory if the Nyquil doesn't cut it!!

Hello Kami and Liza! Hope you are having a great day.

angelica1 said...

Liza - Just do the same as me, keep drinking, that way you don't have to worry about feeling delicate until Janury 2nd :)

Nadia J Silla said...

I am 100% agreeing with this post right, here.
Soo fucking true!

There's nothing more to say!!
Its perfect!

angelica1 said...

Hi Kami - The simple fact is, wherever he was, he wasn't with any of these "fans", they need to just move on

Anonymous said...

Okay maybe its the fever--but ---the chick from LA or the bar girl or any of these other people who tell these stories. Does anyone --couldn't you just open a twitter and say like "I just saw Obama and Prince Charles hooking up in Texas" and a certain number of people would believe them. Its just so random for so many people to like get happy or mad or anything based on some random twitter post that has nothing to back it up. What's worse is I get the impression they are giving Rose shit about it...how does that make sense at all?
I just don't see why it is believed at all.

Rose said...

That's right... Both gruff and syd mentioned going out. Something about 'pub grub'... Hahaha.

And don't worry about falling asleep while talking to me... Its not like it was the first time! :)

angelica1 said...

Smitty - Exactly! The downside of the internet is that anyone can say anything and some will believe it,without any kind of proof to back it up, just because it suits their agenda.

LJ said...

Hi Rose, Melinda, 30, Kami, Rhonda and hi Angelica that is damn good advice, ha!

Aww sorry to see you have been ill Smitty my love, glad your on the mend. Yeah I like boxing day....its like christmas day but more relaxed!!

I'm good thanks Smitty, all the better for hearing everythings good with you and Gruff....I bet you are enjoying the chance to relax!

Hey did you see I got my very own STFU hoodie!.....so I'm ready to report for duty whenever I'm needed...lol!

Love to Gruff & Syd too!

Anonymous said...

Rose--Have I done this before??? Seriously??? I really don't know why you bother with me...lol!

Hope said...

Rose Knows....BULLSHIT...that is exactly what I thought when I saw that pic and story about Rob.

Melinda said...

Obama and Prince Charles hooking up...that would be a sight to see! Ha, Ha.

I don't get it either. Why people take some tweet as the gospel truth. Obviously Rob is in London (not surprised)since a photo came out. Anything else is just speculation.

What amazes me is that they actually stalk people's tweets and FB status's to find out where R/K might be. Cuckoo if you ask me.

Rhonda said...

Hi Smitty,
We haven't talked before but, your absolutely right. That's the thing with the internet sometimes..it's a double-edged sword :(

I have to admit to twitter lurking Christmas Eve late. It was very amusing to read the fat ones- that's what I call the hyenas.

Smitty and Melinda,

Sorry to hear about all the colds and fevers and such. Echinacea tea is good for it, so are Zicam tablets or those coldeze lozenges. Just curious, did either of you get your flu shot?

Angelica,

Tell us about that Tiffany ring. I commented yesterday but I don't know where the comment went.

Melinda said...

Hey PL- thanks for the well wishes. No I have not gotten a flu shot. I think the last one I got was 3 yrs ago. I have only had the flu once and that was in 9th grade. So I have been lucky. Now watch, I'll probably get it.

Did you go see a movie yesterday?

Mary said...

Melinda,

I haven't had a flu shot in 3 years since I stopped working in the healthcare environment so I understand your reluctance.

We saw Harry Potter. I have mixed feelings. I liked it but thought it was a bit slow. I saw you really liked True Grit.

30 said...

HI Liza. :)

I hope you had a great day boxing. lol (I have no idea what boxing day is) but sounds fun to me from what you and Smitty have said.

LJ said...

Oh and yeah I do visit the shed....always knock first though, just in case Tracy has JRM in there! lol

Hi Penny - I didn;t see that comment, here it is ------->

Melinda said...

Penny- I never got into the HP stuff for some reason so it holds no interest for me.

I really liked True Grit. I can see why it has been nominated for a GG for Best Picture.

I think the Coen brothers make some fantastic movies.

HA! I am a happy camper now. I just realized my mom left the egg nog from yesterday. (Ya know the good stuff with rum.) So my plan. Drink a few, then go shovel the snow again..

I hope I dont fall on my ass out there LOL

Angelica- wow! What a beautiful ring. Me thinks you are a lucky woman. :)

Liza- Wise move knocking on the door first. You don't want a surprise ta-da! Ha, ha!

Sorry got carried away!

Who saw "True Grit"? I want to go see that.

Sorry you didn't like "Harry Potter" Penny.

Kami said...

Angelica beautiful ring!

Mary said...

Kami,

I didn't dislike Harry Potter, I just thought it dragged a little. I've never read the books so that could be why I thought that.

angelica1 said...

Melinda,Penny - Thank you,it's white gold. He does spoil me, he feel guilty because he's away so much, which I keep telling him he shouldn't!!

Melinda said...

Kami-

I saw True Grit. If you have time to see it, do.

Major props to whoever wrote the screenplay. The dialog is what makes the film.

angelica1 said...

Thank you,Kami :)

Rhonda said...

Penny, Melinda..I didn't like HP either. My sister is a huge fan and has made me see every movie thus far. However, I did like Cedric Diggory :)

LJ said...

Oooooooh Angelica thats a lovely ring you lucky thing.

I like Harry Potter, haven't seen the new one yet though.

I'm just watching Let The Right One In, love this film but its so spooky!

angelica1 said...

Rhonda- My dopey niece thinks "the bloke who plays Cedric Diggory looks a bit like that Robert Pattinson" :)

Melinda said...

Rhonda- I saw one of the first HP films only because someone dragged me to see it.

I had no idea that Rob played Cedric until after Twilight came out and even then I haven't seen any of the HP films. They just don't do anything for me.

Rhonda said...

Angelica, that's so funny! Lol..I have a sweet little niece and she's exactly like that..we often just shake our heads at her.Poor thing..

Rhonda said...

Me either Melinda! The fan base for that series is huge but it's not my thing. The books are well written though. I do appreciate that.

Mary said...

Angelica,

My husband realized who that was the last time Goblet of Fire was on TV. He said, Isn't that the vampire guy? If I said Rob's name he would have no clue, it's always the vampire guy.

angelica1 said...

Penny - traditionally people bought an extra gift to give to the poor, they all went into a box which was opened the day after Christmas, hence Boxing Day.Now,it's really more of a day when we catch up with friends and family or just chill out and eat your Christmas chocolates and watch TV. It's usually a fun day :)

Hi Penny,

Thankfully I didn't open it at work, I think I would have just lol'd!

Yes we usually save one present and have a nice lunch on boxing day and open it...then go for a walk with the dogs. In our family the rest of the day is usually just spent relaxing & watching films....or going to the pub if anyone feels like it!

:-)

Mary said...

Angelica,

Thanks for the explanation. I know it was discussed yesterday but I guess I wasn't paying attention.

In the states it seems that the day after Christmas is the day to return gifts. I, personally, avoid the stores completely on this day.

LizzieD said...

Hi Rose and Everyone!!!

Sorry some of you are sick, hope you all feel better soon. We have about 8 inches of snow here in the NC High Country, STILL having a white Christmas.

ROSE ... thank GOD for your voice of reason. I really didn't catch why I was suspicious of the 40 minutes girl in London with Rob but you are SO RIGHT, he doesn't much like touching strangers, always looks a bit uncomfortable, remember those girls that cornered him for a photo while he was on the summer roadtrip .... he looked really uncomfortable then.

I hope and believe that they are together somewhere. K's family probably visited them in BR before the break. ALSO, she'll be in LA for the PC awards on the 5th, so will probably spend some time with her family then.

Take care, all, thanks for being here on this wonderful blog AND for all of you loving RK the way I do.

Liz, NC

Rhonda said...

Penny..I'm with you I wish we had Boxing day here. And your right about the gift return..it's usually chaos. I try to avoid it if at all possible.

Liz..we have snow in TN too. I love it but we definitely don't know how to deal with it.

RHONDA...YES...It hs been snowing since 2am...however...it is mostly melting when it hits the ground. We got in the car a little earlier and rode a few miles up the road where it was a little colder and took some pictures..desperate people do desperate things!!!

ohedward said...

I call BS on you! Perhaps you are unaware that upon introduction, Europeans often give a kiss on each cheek. I've never commented here before but your disparaging comments and know it all attitude regarding this warrant a response. The girls who were in the pub were there will friends who happen to be locals. As a large group they talked amongst themselves for 40 minutes. This was not a one on one conversation with Rob. The details of the evening were to be shared among friends, not to be broadcast, blown wildly out of proportion, and nullified by jealous haters. What was a sweet and wonderful evening has been villified by attention seeking bloggers such as yourself. These fans never intruded on Mr. Pattinson's time or space - hence the reason they didn't ask for a photo. I have occasionally visited your blog, but now realize that you are just as likely to jump on a story and accept the way the wind blows on it. You've done no research to get down to the truth and your credibility is ruined. You are a sensationalist like so many others. I won't be revisiting your site again.

ohedward - Continental Europeans greet each other with a kiss on the cheek, British people, of which I am, do not as a rule. YOU need to check YOUR facts before spouting vitriol.

Hello Everyone!!

I hope you all had a great day!

I see lots of people got snow..It snowed here in Alabama as well. It was the 1st white Christmas we've had since, I think they said the 1800's...LOVED IT!!

:-D

To those who are sick, I hope you get well soon!

ohedward said...

Angelica1 - I worked for a British company for seven years and have been there several times staying with friends. I'm not sure which Britain you are referring to but the kiss on two cheeks in standard greeting fare in the Britain I know. Richard Branson did it when I met him. I think you are missing the point of the post...

ohedward~You should back off of Rose. This is HER BLOG and she may state ANY opinion that SHE has!

*I*Believe* said...

Hello dear manjen!!!!

IB

13 in. of snow???? WOW!! We would not be able to function here! LOL!

*I*Believe* said...

@manjen~I went to grad school in SC, near where our good friend Super RN lives, and year ago it snowed in SC and we got one inch of snow and Columbia, SC did shut down......how is your weather???

Mary said...

I am amazed at everyone with their reports of snow. I live near Lake Michigan and we always have heavy snowfalls and we haven't had any new snow in weeks. I should enjoy it while it lasts.

Ohedward,

No one is forcing you to visit here and I kind of think if you never do again you won't be missed.

Rose said...

Ohedward- did you join blogger JUST to tell me You won't be coming back again? Oh no :(
And Bwahahahaha!
You see it your way... I see it mine.
I have no doubt that this person talked to Rob... And I'm sure the evening was full of mirth and hilarity.
Europeans kissing on the cheek matters little in this scenario... Because we are talking about shy, private Robert Pattinson... NOT you
And I don't believe it for one second.

Bye!

*I*Believe* said...

Hi PL~How in the world are you????

Mary said...

Believe,

I am well, even went to church Christmas eve. I have to admit to having a little holiday letdown right now.

Did Santa bring you lots of shiny things?

Anonymous said...

IB...The weather is ok here, just cold, supposed to get down to 18 degrees tonight!

*I*Believe* said...

PL~The nuns would be very proud of us. The church we go to rented the Protestant church across the street for the Christmas Eve Mass overflow....we actually ended up in a Protestant church for Mass LOL

Shiny things? Sadly, no but I did get a poster of dear Edward and Santa left a Roseland decoder ring in my stocking:)

And you??

*I*Believe* said...

Manjen break out your woolies!

ohedward said...

Was merely trying to set the record straight. But I can see you've got no interest in the truth. Blog away...............

Mary said...

Believe,

The last few years I've asked family to donate to charity rather than give me gifts. I am not as altruistic as that sounds, I truly don't need any more knick knacks or jewelry, and I prefer to pick out my own clothes. As an example, an elderly relative gave me a god-awful ugly shirt that I am quickly returning this week.

*I*Believe* said...

ohedward~The truth according to whom?

Anonymous said...

Hi PL!
Sorry to hear you are having a holiday letdown..I hope everything gets better for you!
I know you are happy about not having any snow yet, my friend is from Lansing and he always tells me snow horror stories!

IB..I will indeed be bundled up...don't like the cold!

Rhonda said...

OhEdward..I think your missing the point. Rose has said repeatedly that this is her opinion. You don't have to agree with/or like it.
Also, Angelica IS British..please don't claim to know more about her culture than she does.
I'm just saying.....

LJ said...

ohedward, trust me your wrong. I am British and have lived in England all my life. As Angelica rightly said, British people do not as a rule kiss people on both cheeks.

The only person I know who does this is my sister in law who is French and even she only does it to people she knows.

I have no idea whether Rob kissed this girl on the cheek or not (and couldn't care less) but I seriously doubt it.

Either way, its definitely not a British tradition.

Oh....and I doubt Rose or anyone else here will be losing any sleep about you not visiting again!!

Mary said...

manjen,

Thanks for the well wishes, I will be fine. Lansing is about 1 1/2 SE of where I am. And we do have snow about 3 inches or more, just haven't gotten any new in several weeks so the roads are clear. I do laugh to hear of places where everything shuts down after 2 inches or so. We routinely get over 100 inches in a winter.

*I*Believe* said...

PL~I know what you mean about the clothes...hubby and I didn't exchange this year bc we have three kids and the economy is so bad.

manjen and PL,
We missed Smitty earlier and where have SueBee and DK been?

Mary said...

Where are my comments going? I just posted a long response to manjen and it has disappeared. The same thing happened last night.

Rose said...

Ohedward- were you there and did you SEE Rob kiss anyone on the cheek? Oh are you just taking someones word for it? My truth is Rob didnt kiss anyones cheek. That's what *I* was told.
So you can respectfully believe your truth and I will believe mine.

Goodbye again.

*I*Believe* said...

Hi LJ,
Happy Boxing Day...it does sound like you guys have a great tradition....I have been out doing "after Christmas shopping." It never seems to end~

*I*Believe* said...

Mary said...

Yes, that's it. It took it awhile. Last nights comment never did appear though.

I don't know what has happened to DK. She was silent last night which is odd.

Mary said...

Thanks Rose for checking. Probably the internet grinch took it.

Anonymous said...

PL..If we got 2 inches of snow, we would definately have to shut EVERYTHING down!
Scared to think what would happen if we got over 100 inches... LOL!!
My friend loves to make fun of us for not being able to function in the snow.

Hi Liza!!!!! :-)

Well I gotta run!! You all have a WONDERFUL night!

I have NO idea how you northerners ever survive snow and below zero weather. Kudos to you.
What's funny is I have never been in a snow storm or, even seen it for that matter, and I always wear things like scarves and gloves and what not to really stay warm.. at forty degree weather.

HI ROSE..sorry you are dealing with "other" issues this evening.. What is the big damn deal? You stated your opinion. I dont mind others stating theirs but why do they come on this site and get all huffy about it? Just sayin,

*I*Believe* said...

Yes, I read Midnight Sun, what was available of it. I just LOVED Edward's point of view. I started it and couldn't stop. I just wish SM would finish it for us.

Rhonda said...

Just popped back in for a minute.

Super and IB...I'm kinda obsessed with Midnight Sun! I can't wait for her to finish..I think it's so sweet!!

Have a great night Everyone!!

Mary said...

Believe,

I thought the whole series would have been more interesting with an Edward point of view. I resisted reading the books for so long because they were "teen books". I'm no literary critic, but I don't think they are very well-written. They do convey a yearning though and that is what makes them memorable, in my opinion.

*I*Believe* said...

Hi R!

Although they were "teen books" I still love an easy read...that was what I loved about the series...I could easily get lost with little effort...also, they were so easy to read through:)

Super RN Gas Passer said...

RHONDA...I also cannot wait for her to finish the book...I wonder how much longer we will have to wait...Oh well...I like MS way better than Twilight so I am very anxious for her to sit down and finish it.

*I*Believe* said...

OK everyone....what was your favorite book in the saga?

*I*Believe* said...

Oops, I should say "published" book.

*I*Believe* said...

Super~Don't hold your breath for MS. You know that Stephanie has said that she could never finish it until she was ready to...and who knows how long that may be?????

Annie said...

Hello everyone!

Favorite book in the saga.....Twilight and I wish that SM would finish and publish Midnight Sun!

Rhonda said...

I resisted reading them also. I was afraid they would be too young for me. Hopefully we won't have to wait that much longer for MidSun.I like it better too.
I'm really leaving this time..I have to go back to work in the morning.

Penny..I'm sorry your a little down. I wish you happy thoughts and I hope your spirit is uplifted very soon!

Goodnight All :)

Super RN Gas Passer said...

IB...I just saw your post about DK...No, as far as I know, she is fine...She and I were talking recently and I just had made the statement that we have all gotten quite fond of eachother on this blog and if anyone of the regs just up and quit posting with no explanation, it would be disheartening to me. I have never blogged before this and even though the chances that any of us will ever meet in person are rather slim, not impossible of course, it would be upsetting if we just went up in smoke, so to speak, with no way of knowing what might have happened.

Mary said...

Favorite book was Twilight. I hated Breaking Dawn. It had way too much of the wolves running around in circles.

Rhonda,

Thanks. I'm fine, really. This too shall pass.

Hi Rose,
Thank you for the BS (Boxing) Day post. Especially liked the list of symptoms for rabies.

Hoping all those who are a bit under the weather feel healthy very soon so as to enjoy what is left of the holidays. I agree a nice hot tea with honey and lemon and a sprinkle of your favorite extra, perhaps rum, is always a soothing "cuppa comfort".

Take care Smitty, hope you can rest up and enjoy family, friends, and loved ones.

I join others in recommending True Grit. A very different version from the film with John Wayne; Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and the young but very talented Hailee Steinfeld give wonderful performances. Took me a bit to get comfortable with the speech pattern that Bridges uses with his character. In addition, the over all language is more formal than I expected.

Also got to see Black Swan. Agree with the nominations it has received so far. Natalie was amazing and powerful in the lead role. I was prepared for a psychological drama, but it proved to be even darker and more intense than I anticipated.

The WFE trailer only played before the Black Swan movie. It may depend on the theatre group as to which movies it appears before. Loved the trailer on the big screen. It will be a gorgeous movie. Rob, Reese, Christoph, and Hal Holbrook look fantastic!

Hugs to all!

Super RN Gas Passer said...

IB...I know this sounds crazy but MS for me..the inner workings of Edwards mind was absoultely fascinating to me but I thoroughly enjoyed all the others but MS moreso than Twilight, as I said earlier. In BD, I enjoyed Bella waking up and being a vampire and I also LOVED Jacobs interaction with Rosalie. In New Moon, I enjoyed the pages upon pages of dialogue between Edward and Bella after they got back from Italy and she thought she was still dreaming... In Eclipse I loved the dialogue when she was mad at Jacob and mad at Edward..sort of toward the beginning of the book...so much of the characters essence is lost on the screen..sigh....

Lol I luv ur posts !! Anyway from what part of the movie is the sec pic from is it a deleted scene i dont think or was bec I saw all them and thats not one of them

Where Are You Going?

Dave Matthews Band/listen here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjykrjAS5bQ

Where are you going, with your long face pulling down?
Don't hide away, like an ocean
That you can't see but you can smell
And the sound of waves crash down

I am no superman.
I have no reasons for you
I am no hero, Aww that's for sure
But I do know one thing:
Is where you are is where I belong.
I do know, where you go, is where I wanna be.

Where are you going? Where do you go?
Are you lookin' for answers to questions under the stars?
Well if along the way you are growin weary, you can rest with me
Until a brighter day, you're ok.

I am no superman.
I have no answers for you.
I am no hero, aww that's for sure.
But I do know one thing:
Where you are is where I belong.
I do know, where you go, is where I wanna be

Where are you going? Where do you go?
Where do you go? Where are you goin? Where do you go?

Tell me where are you going?
Where? Let's go.

Thank you/davematthewsbandVEVO

As usual, you win by a landslide.

Thanks, Sherlock, baby.

Also, the kiddos felt that I needed the first season of "True Blood" and me, a Romantic!
Plus, have a Borders gift cert. which I requested so I can buy DVD's, ha, ha.

Fairy Godmothers do not need decoder rings, for their instincts are ancient, all-seeing, all- knowing, with a touch of the blarney for fun (read BS). Lol.

My favorite Twilight book? I tend to make a hodgepodge of them in my mind, so that they meld into THE one big romance of Bella & Edward.

MS is wonderful for insight, too.

I re-read them all, as the mood strikes me, along with re-reading of Pride & Prejudice & all Jane Austen books, that are essential and required for good living in my life.

*I*Believe* said...

Yeah! Adventureland with our dear Kristen just came on:) :) :)

DK~A spa package wow...how great is that?!? You will enjoy True Blood but it could never come close to Bella and Edward's story. Also, you don't need a decoder ring? Your are a lucky FGM.

Super RN Gas Passer said...

FGM aka DK...I should haved "guessed" the all knowing FGM would see the BIG PICTURE instead of us mere mortals who obsess over the small details! lol

Hi Kay!! How was your holiday?

Annie how was your holiday?

Everyone,
What is the cocktail of choice tonight? I am thinking about a spiced rum and diet coke.

DK~My hubby went to pick up my daw from cheerleading practice and he called to say the road are terrible and the wind is extremely strong...the storm has begun.

DreamerKind said...

@Annie
For a while, I resisted reading any but the original Austen books, and now it is a free-for-all, and I grab it all up, to gobble, gobble, gobble, lol.

Thanks for the lead, and I'll get it for sure.

When we've played MFK, I drool over Colin Firth still and choose him for every category except Kill. But my adoration is going on 15 or so years for him, in so many other roles, also.

P & P is an even longer love in my life, say 45 years.

And my kids think that the Twilight Saga is my only kind of crazy. More fools, they!

Hi Olivia, Super RN, *I* Believe, DK, Annie, Kami, Kay, Rhonda, 30 (any anyone I may have missed) – glad to see that you are all well.

It sounds like people have been enjoying time with families and/or seeing some great movies. I must admit that True Grit didn’t initially appeal to me, but I may have to rethink that given the strong endorsements here.

On the Twilight book front, I think I preferred Twilight as well. I had a hard time reading Breaking Dawn the first time through. It seemed to present Edward in such a passive way (I’m trying to avoid saying the word wimpy since I’m an Edward supporter). I’m hoping the character doesn’t come across like that in the movie. I’ve never read MS, but will add that to the list after Water for Elephants.

Well, just stopping in between painting. Stay well all.
