Rob and Kristen- Bullshit Day

Rob in London? Color me SURPRISED (or not)

Today is 'Boxing Day' in the UK...
I'm thinking it's 'Bullshit Day' in this fandom.

Let's discuss.

1. I had a lot to catch up on from the last couple of days.
Well... not really.
Just a lot of bullshit drama.
Par
For
The
Course.

2. THE BIGGEST MOST STUPENDOUS NEWS OF ALL????
Robert Pattinson went home to London for Christmas!!!
NO WAY!
COME ON!!!
Oh wait...
Is anyone really surprised?
My great aunt Eleanor even knew Rob would go home for the holidays.
It was THAT transparent.
And oh yeah...
Why was it such a huge deal to the foaming masses?
Um... because for some desperate reason...
They would like to believe that somehow Rob going home
for Christmas is somehow related to him not being with Kristen...
The rabid seem to see it as some sort of delusional victory.
Over what? Over who?
That is yet to be determined.
(At least if you are not frothing and foaming at the mouth)

3. And I don't mean to disparage the girl story who took the above pic...
I mean... she obviously happened to luck out and see Rob at a pub...
But
RPatz @ “pub” in London "It’s from tonight, it’s London, about an hour ago (thats about 00.30 in London) N ( the one on the right) spoke to him for about 40 mins, shook his hand, got a ciggie from him (she doesn’t smoke) and he kissed her cheek!

Sorry. I call bullshit.
Not that she saw him... oh no... I believe that.
But she claims to have talked to him for 40 mins, received a cig
shook his hand AND he kissed her on the cheek...
Yet...
All she could manage was a kinda stalkerific picture of him
where she was pretending to take a pic of her and her friend...
And trying like hell to get him in the background.
40 minutes.
Handshake.
KISS on the cheek.
And no picture?
Surely anyone Rob would kiss on the cheek he would
agree to one quick picture?
And while she may have had conversation with him...
and even pretended to smoke to get a cig off him...
Fine and dandy.
But the kiss on the cheek?
Sorry.
Ain't buying it.
Rob isn't a random stranger 'kiss on the cheek' kinda guy.
Shy, awkward, adorkable Rob?
Big Red Flag.
I might have actually believed the story up until that part.

And people always howl about how no cameras EVER work
when Rob and Kristen are out...
Yet just ONE pic of Rob at the pub?
Where are all the cameras?
Maybe because people don't want to be rude...
Or maybe because not everyone whips out a camera
everytime Rob and/or Kristen are around.

THIS will happen VERY soon... If it didn't already.

Where am I on the count?
3?
No.

4. Kristen.
Where is Kristen Stewart?

See....here's the thing.
LOTS of blather about her heading to London with Rob.
And then ...
ONE person tweets that she sees Kristen in L.A.
and that is taken as gospel?
WHAT?
ONE person who claims to have seen Kristen...
Not numerous sightings...
ONE PERSON.

SO LET IT BE WRITTEN!
SO LET IT BE DONE!

Really?
Is that how it works now?
No 'pics or it didn't happen' fits in here?
Just one random person's word that she saw Kristen in L.A.?
Interesting.
Why not believe the people who saw her in London?

So I could ask my friend who lives in London...
To tweet that he saw Kristen at a pub with Robert..
Then what?
Would it be so easily believed and taken as fact?

Fascinating how it all works... yes?

Personally...
IF Kristen isn't aleady with Robert in London...
(Bwa.Ha.Ha.Ha.Ha. She is NINJASTEW after all.)
She is on her way...
And she WILL be with Rob.
Tomorrow.
And then what?
More screams of PR!
More screeching that she needs to stay away from him?
More delusional howling that it doesn't 'mean anything'?
Yeah.
Pretty much.

Keep chasing that tail... I'm sure you will catch it... Someday. Or not.

5. Thing is...
If Kristen has been with Robert in London all along...
Or if she shows up Tomorrow...
It doesn't change a thing.
Not one thing.
They will be together.
As always.

A couple of days apart here and there...
Mean nothing in the scope of any real relationship.
And believe me...
It doesn't get any more real than what Rob and Kristen share.

6. And stop with the 'fake' Twirling.
Sorry.
One. You're not good at it... (and really...how original.)
Two. Bitter Haters can't Twirl.
And
Three. It's not really twirling.
You are mistaking symptoms of Rabies as twirling...

Rabies specific symptoms may include insomnia, anxiety (about Rob being with Kristen) , confusion (Thinking that Rob and Kristen aren't real)  slight or partial paralysis, excitation (Foaming over Rob being in London), hallucinations (Thinking that every time Rob and Kristen are together is PR), agitation (Being extremely bitter and angry all the time), hyper-salivation (That would be all the FOAMING) violent movements and uncontrolled excitement (That would be what you have sadly misinterpreted as *Twirling*... Poor things)

This post is brought to you by the letter *N*

You ain't seen NOTHING yet.

Believe it.

Bye for now

Hi, Pal, sure missed you! How was your holiday?

*I*B*......The only premiere I got a glimpse of was Remember Me.

@Annie
Would you consider watching it 20 times, at 6 hours per session, excessive, lol?

I am hardcore, lady!

@Annie...and...who did you see???

@DK
I'm in awe! :)

DK,
I actually had a wonderful Christmas. I think my kids are starting to grow up. Everyone enjoyed each other and there was none of the usual "teenage attitude".
Sounds like you enjoyed yourself entertaining?

Birdie said...

DK,
Have you really watched P&P that often? I do have to say Colin Firth is smouldering in it.

olivia said...

I*B, glad your loved ones are home safe and sound. Sounds like up and down the east coast Old Man Winter is really paying a harsh visit.

How very nice Freddie, to be painting for your parents. Hope it goes quickly and easily.

I did see one other movie this week. It was last evening, on TCM. One of my favorites, The Lion in Winter (1968), with Peter O'Toole, Katherine Hepburn, Anthony Hopkins, and Timothy Dalton. This movie always leaves me in awe of the tremendous script and the magnificent actors.

Annie said...

@*I*Believe*:
Not much to be honest.
You knew when Rob arrived though, because of the screaming.

*I*Believe* said...

Olivia, I am glad they're home, too. We'll be fine if we don't lose power.

Annie, sorry you couldn't see. I was going to head down for the Eclipse premiere but I couldn't locate any specific info about where it was being held...maybe someday.

Birdie said...

Olivia,
You saw True Grit. What did you think of the ending? I felt like it was a bit abrupt, wanting more.

olivia said...

Birdie,
Yes, from where she falls ( and I won't say more ) the movie does not flow as well and I, also, wanted more and different at the end. The Coen brothers did create their own unique vision with the novel. I have not read it but I remember hearing that their version is truer to the book.

Birdie said...

I heard that also. Do you teach and would English have been your major?

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
Yes, I enjoyed the entertaining and with only a couple of family rows.

Since 1995, have watched the Colin Firth P & P that many times over, as stated.

Glad you had a good one with the almost grownups, hold on tight to the happy, right?

Olivia I LOVE "Lion in Winter" it is such a well written movie. I have always believed that Peter O'Toole should have won an Oscar for that role.

Birdie said...

Olivia,
All three of my children have had Spanish, unfortunately none of them became fluent.

DK,
I am amazed at the costume design in this series. It really is delightful.
Being from a large Irish family, we have had our fair share of those rows!

*I*Believe* said...

OK, here is my story...my son took two years of Russian in 7th & 8th grade...took and passed the NY State Russian Regents exam and then transferred to a private High School. His new HS does not have Russian and he only needed one more year to meet his hs requirement...he had to start all over again with Spanish...now he needs to do 3 years:(

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
I am so excited for you to be watching it for the first time, a real Firth/Ehle virgin!

Yes, the costumes are fab.

Did I mention that I saw it originally on BBC in 1995/96?

I am 1/3 Irish, and whoa, Nellie!

Pick Yourself Up

Diana Krall/listen here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa2io_4uiRo

Nothing's impossible I have found
For when my chin is on the ground
I pick myself up, dust myself off,
Start all over again

Don't lose your confidence if you slip
Be grateful for a pleasant trip
And pick yourself up, dust yourself off
And start all over again

Work like a soul inspired till the battle of the day is won
You may be sick and tired but you'll be a man my son

Don't you remember the famous men who had to fall to rise again?
They picked themselves up, dusted themselves off and started all over again

Thank you/xriska

Birdie said...

IB,
That is a bummer. I've heard Russian is a very difficult language. Since he did that well, he hopefully won't have a problem learning another language.
DK,
I am 3/4 Irish. You might say I am a bit feisty. Since 1995, you are a romantic!

olivia said...

Birdie,
Hopefully they received a good foundation and may be able to build upon it if they wish in the future. It does take much practice, exposure and determination.
I*B,
That is difficult and disappointing after such an investment and great results already. Does your state have private study, online courses and credit by exam opportunities? Also, community colleges often offer dual enrollment to high schoolers. Those may be a few avenues to explore.

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
Born in the wrong century, that's me of course. Should have been listening to Chopin, Lizst, wearing empire waisted gowns, waltzing and speaking fluent French! So sad that I am a modern day Americana.

Say! Maybe this is only one of many lives I've lived...and more are on the way?

*I*Believe* said...

Olivia,
Funny you should suggest a community college bc his new hs is right next to one, I mean within walking distance but his school only allows jrs. and srs. to attend it...he is a frosh. Thanks for the suggestions, though.

I don't know if you remember but I'm a teacher too.

Stupid Girls

Pink/listen here:

Uhhuh, uhhuh
Stupid girl (woo), stupid girls, stupid girls

Maybe if I act like that, that guy will call me back
porno paparazzi girls (yeah),
I don't wanna be a stupid girl (uhhuh)

Go to Fred Segal, you'll find them there
Laughing loud so all the little people stare
Looking for a daddy to pay for the champagne
droppin' names

What happened to the dream of a girl president
She's dancing in the video next to 50 Cent
They travel in packs of two or three
With their itsy bitsy doggies and their teeny-weeny tees

Where, oh where, have the smart people gone?
Oh where, oh where could they be? (yeah yeah yeah)

Maybe if I act like that,(woo) that guy will call me back
porno-paparazzi girls,
I don't wanna be a stupid girl

Maybe if I act like that, flipping my blonde hair back (yeah)
Push up my bra like that (uh-huh), I don't wanna be a stupid girl

(Break it down now)
The disease is growing, it's epidemic
I'm scared that there ain't a cure
The world believes it and I'm going crazy
I cannot take any more!!!!

I'm so glad that I'll never fit in
That will never be me
Outcasts and girls with ambition
That's what I wanna see (c'mon)

Disasters all around
A world of despair
your only concern-
Will it f**ck up my hair???????

(Do ya think? Do ya think? Do ya think?_
(I like this, like this, like this)

Pull my hair I'll suck it girl, stupid girl!

Thank you/klkammiller

I'm Happy Just To Dance With You

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWVzNtzpW84

I'm just happy to dance with you

Before this dance is through
I think I'll love you too
I'm so happy when you dance with me

I don't want or need to hold your hand
Well it's only try and understand
'cause there's really nothing I would rather do
'cause I'm happy just to dance with you

I don't need to kiss or hold you tight
I just want to dance with you all night

In this world there's nothing I would rather do
'cause I’m happy just to dance with you

Just to dance with you
It's everything I need

Before this dance is through
I think I'll love you too
I'm so happy when you dance with me

If somebody tries to take my place
Let's pretend we just can't see his face
In this world there's nothing I would rather do
'cause I'm happy just to dance with you

Just to dance with you
It's everything I need

'cause I'm happy just to dance with you
Just to dance with you
It's everything I need

I discovered I'm in love with you
'cause I'm happy just to dance with you

Rose, I thought the same thing, he doesn't seem like the type to sit for 40 mins and talk to a random stranger. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't claim to know him, but it doesn't seem to fit. On another site there were people that were "appalled" that he was in a pub on christmas eve...omg give me a break! He's 24 and hasn't been home in months, part of going home again is going out to places you like to go to, lighten up people. I can't believe there is even speculation about where Kristen is, sooner or later they're going to be together...probably like NOW
!
lol thanks for the breath of sanity Rose.

Honesty

Billy Joel wants honesty/listen:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7R3GtAnO66o

If you search for tenderness
It isn't hard to find
You can have the love you need to live

But if you look for truthfulness
You might just as well be blind
It always seems to be so hard to give

Honesty is such a lonely word
Everyone is so untrue
Honesty is hardly ever heard
And mostly what I need from you

I can always find someone
To say they sympathize
If I wear my heart out on my sleeve

But I don't want some pretty face
To tell me pretty lies
All I want is someone to believe
I
can find a lover
I can find a friend
I can have security
Until the bitter end

Anyone can comfort me
With promises again
I know, I know

When I'm deep inside of me
Don't be too concerned
I won't ask for nothin' while I'm gone

But when I want sincerity
Tell me where else can I turn
'Cause you're the one that I depend upon

Thank you/AHeadchoppinProd

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen
We like to tease each other about old family trips, events, things we said, and laugh about them.

Sometimes, the laughter turns to getting mad, and then we fight a little, and then laugh about that.

There was a lot of talk about my being a Roselander, which created much laughter and some derision, with threats of the kids coming on here to tell everyone all about Dreamer.

As if, you didn't already know more than they could or world tell you, right out of the hOOr's mouth.

So, I suggested that they read the comments and they'll see what's what at Roseland!

A-Tisket A-Tasket

Ella Ftizgerald 1938/listen here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_lUs7zUY3U

A-tisket A-tasket
A brown and yellow basket
I send a letter to my mommy
On the way I dropped it

I dropped it
I dropped it
Yes on the way I dropped it
A little girlie picked it up
And put it in her pocket

She was truckin on down the avenue
Not a single thing to do
She went peck peck pecking all around
When she spied it on the ground

She took it
She took it
My little yellow basket
And if she doesn't bring it back I think that I will die

A-tisket A-tasket
I lost my yellow basket
And if that girl don't return it
I don't know what I'll do

Oh dear I wonder where my basket can be
(So do we, so do we, so do we, so do we, so do we)
Oh geez I wish that little girl I could see
(So do we, so do we, so do we, so do we, so do we)

Oh why was I so careless with that basket of mine?
That itty bitty basket was a joy of mine!

A-tisket
A-tasket
I lost my yellow basket
Won't someone help me find my basket
And make me happy again? again

(Was it green?) No, no, no, no
(Was it red?) No, no, no, no
(Was it blue?) No, no, no, no

Just a little yellow basket
A little yellow basket

Thank you/makebelieveballroom

Ms. Blogger,

Since you have made the distinction between your truth regarding this post and my truth, perhaps "my" truth needs further explanation.

The two girls in this photograph are personal friends of mine. They are not cyber or virtual friends but real in the flesh people I know face to face.

They called me from the bathroom in the pub where this interaction took place. You could say that it was a real time update by the people directly involved, not from a second hand source.

When they left via cab I spoke with them again. All total we talked for approximately one hour where they shared some wonderful anecdotes about the evening.

Without further degrading their privacy, I can only assure you that Mr. Pattinson was casual and friendly. He was with his friends that became a larger group because they shared mutual aquaintances.

Fact: the photograph was unscrupulously taken my someone who befriended a person on Facebook for the sole purpose of exploiting it.

Fact: the comments that were attached have been taken out of context without the full story.

What has subsequently occured is a load of misinformation and speculation. I do not consider these personal friends of mine to have fabricated any of this account. They were extremely conscientious about not making Rob feel invaded or uncomfortable. The called me to share their excitement and not call attention to it in the pub itself.

What you have are two people who did their best to be respectful and share their experience with their personal friends. What happened was a violation of their privacy and they do not deserve the unkind things that have been said about them.

The kiss on the cheeks seems to be most at issue here which is silly.

Ultimately you must believe what you will, but unless you had a spy observing the goings on you would be hard pressed to refute it.

I won't be the one to tell Richard Branson or Robert Pattinson that by doing the "European" kiss on each cheek they are breaching British protocol.

Bobby's Girl

(You're not a kid anymore)

When people ask of me,
What would you like to be
Now that your not a kid anymore.
(You're not a kid anymore)

I know just what to say,
I answer right away,
There's just one thing I've been wishing for...

I want to be Bobby's girl
I want to be Bobby's girl,
That's the most important thing to me...

And if I was Bobby's girl,
If I was Bobby's girl,
What a faithful thankful girl I'd be.

Each night I sit at home,
Hoping that he will phone,
But I know Bobby has someone else

Still in my heart I pray
There soon will come the day
That I will have him all to myself...

I want to be Bobby's girl
I want to be Bobby's girl,
That's the most important thing to me...

And if I was Bobby's girl,
If I was Bobby's girl,
What a faithful thankful girl I'd be.

Liza and Angelica--I'm not British but I know a few who are and I can add my experience that none of you seem to kiss on both cheeks. Now I am picturing this O person walking into business meetings and making a complete fool of herself by doing this to all you reserved proper Brits--ROFL. What an idiot...or a git (see I am learning).

Okay I should go take a nap. Love to you all---

Hey O--

You are pissing me off with your attitude and your attacks on Rose.

The whole story is complete bullshit. Those girls were so obviously pretending to take a picture in order to get Rob in the background. I don't believe you know them, I don't believe he talked to them for 40 minutes, and he didn't kiss them on the cheek. Now you say someone else took the picture--um--okay sure. Change your story much???

Give it up babe. They might be your friends but they are bullshitting you big time. More likely you are some crazy hyena nonstener person who is trying to discredit Rose and you don't know those girls and have never been out of your miserable basement where you sit all day making up bullshit.

Here--we can solve this easily--give me the name of the pub. If you know that maybe you actually have some credibility. If not shut the fuck up (sorry Liza--ha) and leave Rose the hell alone.

In fact just FUCK YOU and GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE>NOBODY gives a FUCK what you are saying about any of this. Rose knows babe and you don't so GET THE FUCK OUT. GO AWAY NOW!

(I'm thinking cold meds and mimosa's are not a good combo-lol)

Oh--and you know what O will say -"I don't want to give the name of the pub because it would mean other people will go there looking for Rob and I want to protect his privacy...you know like my bestest friends who make up bullshit stories about him and call me from the bathroom and then take pictures and act upset when they go viral"

Anonymous said...

So where the hell is everyone??? Nobody is up and I am just on here ranting to some random O person. Omgod--I just realized her name is Oh Edward...ewwwwwww fantasize much bitch?? ick!

Rose wake up and talk to me-its not THAT early there. You should be up now. Okay this leaves me no choice but to watch the original True Grit with these goofballs. Imagine these like legendary john Wayne quotes with their accents ---lol--"You can't serve papers on a rat, baby sister. You gotta kill him or let him be." --just doesn't sound right with them.

Okay fine--sleep--I'll just blather on by myself...nobody to talk to...all alone...sniff sniff.. its fine...I see how you all are....

Afternoon!

*Stands behind Smitty pointing to my new STFU hoodie*

I got your back lady!

Heee heee Smitty you don't half make me chuckle.....love it!

'Oh Edward'....oh dear more like, perhaps she would like my Edward + Bella mug that some 'kind soul' bought me for christmas! LOL

Or perhaps she's too busy schmoozing with her Brit 'friends' like Richard Branson!! Ha ha seriously, you couldn't make this stuff up!

:-)

angelica1 said...

Smitty - You keep going with the cold meds and Mimosa's, you made me lmao!! You said exactly what I was thinking when I saw that crap this morning, I have no idea why that person finds it so important to convince our little group of something we don't believe and I don't think they realise that every attempt at justification, weakens their credibility just a little further. Having spent my entire life being British however, I am extremely grateful to be told we're all doing it wrong (well except for Mr Branson, not sure he really counts though,I'm not banishing him or anything since Virgin is my 2nd favourite airline but he is pretty international and not enirely representative of the British culture). My New Year's resolution will be to take Britishness lessons :)

Anonymous said...

Liza and Angelica,

Well I have already started Britishness lessons and am hearing that upon meeting a complete stranger in a pub you are to stick your tongue down their throats and play tonsil tag for a full 3 minutes. After that you talk to them about intimate details of their lives for 40 minutes while running back and forth to the bathroom to call your international business partners and inform them about what you are discussing. You then return to your new best friends and do this weird camera pose thing where the new friend appears to ignore you and walk away and you and your delusional mate squish your faces together and take a picture being sure to get the new person in the background. You then run on FB and post the picture and the story. THEN when someone calls bullshit on you, you make up a creepy name that sounds like what you say while fantasy love-making to some fictional character (Oh Edward YES YES MORE EDWARD) and you attack the nicest person in the world on her blog.

I can't wait for Lesson Two.

Birdie said...

Good morning Smitty, Liza, and Angelica,
Smitty, you are on a roll! I'm waiting for Lesson 2.

angelica1 said...

Smitty - You're comment about business meetings reminded of when a male colleague and I were sent to our French office for 6 months a few years ago. One of the funniest memories I have is watching him squirm everytime someone kissed him on both cheeks, which happened at some point almost every day. Do people not realise that's probably one of the worst things you can do to British blokes, aside from planning your wedding the same day as the FA cup final!! Ask Gruff about that one:)

angelica1 said...

Morning Birdie :)

Anonymous said...

Yea I don't know about all of them but this group seems like that would make them squirm big time. Even when we have traveled to other places together he's the last one volunteering for that kiss on both cheeks thing.

BTW--love the ring. You must have been very good this year.

Hello, Roseland!

Hi, DK! I am well, and my christmas was quite good. Hope your was too!
I had forgoten about the Madeira Wine, sorry, I mentioned it because you said you liked wine Port and Like the Wine Port, the Madeira wine is a fortifed wine, but it's made in Madeira Island (portuguese Island and its produced in a variety of styles from dry wines( dry and medium-dry) to sweet wines (sweet and medium-sweet), the dry wines are used as an aperitive and the sweet wines are usualy consumed with desserts. One interesting story that is told about this wine is that it was favourite of Thomas Jefferson and it was used to toast the Declaration of Independence :).
I think if you like Port you will like Madeira wine too.

Good afternoon, Smitty, Liza and Angelica! Hope all is well!

One thing I was told when meeting birtish person was not to greet them with a kiss on the cheek but with a chake hand because british are reserved in manners, and only kiss people who are close friends and relatives.

katy said...

Hello, Birdie

Birdie said...

My in-laws were Dutch and did the double kiss. Fun to watch my Irish Midwestern family squirm.

Birdie said...

Hi Katy!

LJ said...

Ha...Smitty LOL! I'm learning a thing or two myself here, who knew the British were so vulgar eh? I have obviously been shielded from this behaviour for too long.

Let me know what lesson 2 is...just so I know how I 'should' be behaving next time i'm out in public............

Hi Angelica, Birdie, Katy, I Believe and Freddie!

Anonymous said...

Lesson Two by Syd

After completing step one of how to meet a British person, you sit down in the pub and order a drink. Be sure to order some POP as that will ensure the server will spit in it for you. Also, eat off of your friends' plates and chew with your mouth open.

Of course, if your name is Liza you should remove your top and dance on the table. And if you are SueBee well, we all know what she likes to do for everyone--hahahaha!

angelica1 said...

Hi Katy - Well you've passed the British test so we'll let you in anytime :)

Thanks Smitty, he's too good to me, according to my sister I almost got the chocolate labrador puppy I'm after but she persuaded him, he should ask me about that first :)

angelica1 said...

Liza - I might try Smitty's suggested method of greeting, I think the results could be hilarious!

LJ said...

Awww Angelica I love Labs! I'm just about to go and collect my nephew Tom and my brothers black Lab (she's one European who definitely greets you with a big sloppy kiss!). Me and my mum are going to take them for a walk in Macclesfield Forest near where I live. I miss my dog so much.

Hope you all have a great morning/afternoon!

Lots of love,
Liza

LJ said...

Well yes Angelica I'm thinking I may try it out if I bump in to any gorgeous boys.......I'll just say. 'Well my friend Smitty told me it was the new way to greet people'

Haaaaaaaaaaaa, as if! I'm more of a say hello, smile then make a sharp exit type of Brit!

:-)

angelica1 said...

Liza - They are great,I have a black one and a yellow one already,I'm just about to walk them too as they're currently charging around upstairs aand will come through the ceiling any minute by the sound of things - they're both very "European" too :)

Rose said...

Good Grief... looks like I missed the party!

OhEdward. Look. I didn't call your 'friends' names. All I did was call bullshit on the kiss on the cheek.
That's all. I'm very happy that these girls are your personal friends, and I'm sure they behaved with the utmost class and dignity in Robert's presence. What I don't understand is your insistence on coming back here again and again when you told me that you would never be back. So is that a lie... or just a misunderstanding?

Syd and Smitty?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I am sorry I missed you.
But as usual... you crack me up.
Great way to start my morning.
Hope to talk to you soon.
<3

LJ said...

Haaaaaaa! Omg how did I miss Syds lesson 2 in how to be a Brit!

Not sure about my role though.....I am currently wearing wellies so I'm not sure that's such a good look for topless table dancing!

However.....I'm thinking Syd doing a bit of table top bump + grind in his green plaid boxers would be much more pleasing on the eye!

;-)

Mary said...

Smitty, Liza and Angelica,

Thank you so much for your morning banter. I have been having a bit of a pity party lately and you REALLY brightened my day. Please pass on more Britishness lessons soon.

OhEdward,
Can you come up with a more desperate and ewwwwww name?

*I*Believe* said...

Rose, I missed the party too!!

Smitty~You go girl...you are on a roll!! Sounds like you may be feeling better.

Syd~You have me cracking up!
Did you wear a paper crown on Christmas?
.
Jentoo~Give us a shout so we know you how you are...is your power and heat back on??

I, myself, am snowed in. 2 feet of snow and it hasn't stopped yet....below zero windchill.

angelica1 said...

Lza - LOL! I just spotted Syd's lesson too. The idea of Syd pole dancing in those boxers has had me going hot and cold ever since Smitty put that picture in my head. I'd pay good money to see that :) I'm sure your wellies look stunning!

angelica1 said...

Morning Penny!! I'm glad if we cheered you up a bit :)

*I*Believe* said...

Good Morning PL...come on now...no more pity parties...we shall have to make you laugh and smile!!!

Mary said...

Angelica or Liza,

What is a wellie? And I am definitely feeling less pitiful. Unfiltered Smitty is the best kind of pick-me-up.

*I*Believe* said...

@PL
What do you call a sleepwalking nun?

Mary said...

Believe,

I don't know. What is a sleepwalking nun?

*I*Believe* said...

A Roamin' Catholic:)

Mary said...

Believe,

Ha Ha!

I'm trying to remember the joke I heard about one of the 7 dwarves, the pope and a nun, but I can't remember it. It was off-color because that is the only kind of catholic jokes my husband tells me. He's Baptist so, you know, superior.

*I*Believe* said...

Yea! I made you laugh!!!

What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire?

angelica1 said...

Penny - Wellies = Wellington boots, rubber rain boots :) I aree, I LOVE unfiltered Smitty!!

*I*Believe* said...

Frostbite:)

Mary said...

Believe,

I know this will be priceless, but I'll ask. What do you get when you cross a snowman and a vampire?

Do you get these jokes from your 2nd graders?

angelica1 said...

Penny - Do you mean the joke with the penguin?

Mary said...

Angelica,

Yes, that's the one. I just don't remember how it goes entirely other than the last line.

*I*Believe* said...

I get some of my jokes from my 2nd graders but not the religious one bc I teach at a public school:)

angelica1 said...

Penny - I think you mean this one?

Seven dwarvess go to the Vatican, and because they are the seven dwarves, they are immediately ushered in to see the Pope.Grumpy leads the pack.
Grumpy, my son,” says the Pope, “What can I do for you?” Grumpy asks, “Excuse me your Excellency, but are there any dwarf nuns in Rome?”
The Pope wrinkles his brow at the odd question, thinks for a moment and answers, “No, Grumpy, there are no dwarf nuns in Rome.”
In the background, a few of the dwarves start giggling.Grumpy turns around and glares, silencing them.
Grumpy turns back, “Your Worship, are there any dwarf nuns in all of Europe?”
The Pope, puzzled now, again thinks for a moment and then answers, “No, Grumpy, there are no dwarf nuns in Europe.
“This time, all of the other dwarves burst into laughter.Once again, Grumpy turns around and silences them with an angry glare.
Grumpy turns back and says, “Mr. Pope! Are there ANY dwarf nuns anywhere in the world?”
The Pope, really confused by the questions says, “I’m sorry, my son, there are no dwarf nuns anywhere in the world.”
The other dwarves collapse into a heap, rolling and laughing, pounding the floor, tears rolling down their cheeks, as they begin chanting……
“Grumpy shagged a penguin!”
“Grumpy shagged a penguin!”

Mary said...

Angelica,

That's the one! Except here we say "Grumpy fucked a penguin"

*I*Believe* said...

My, my I have never heard that one...at least my jokes are clean lol.

Here is a joke form one of my second graders:

What do basketball players eat for breakfast?

Mary said...

Believe,

We're just expanding your options.

Tell me what they eat for breakfast.

Good morning everyone! Actually slept in a bit this morning, until 8:00. Pure luxury!

Love the Brit lessons Smitty and Syd. Stay warm and safe. Hugs to you both and to Gruff.

Angelica1, such a beautiful ring! What good taste your man has.

Jentoo, hope you and your family stayed warm and that the power has been restored.

Barbara Fenwick, hugs for you!

Dear DK, loved the music...I'm happy just to "listen to the Beatles 24/7". Also, John had an unbelievable wisdom beyond his young years. Love is Real says so much in so few words. Thank you for always being such a melodious muse of a FGM.

I*B, loved the "frosbite" joke. Going out for lunch with a bunch of friends, and will tell it.

BBL,
Hugs to all.

*I*Believe* said...

Dunkin' Donuts!!! That is the name of a coffee/donut chain here in the Northeast!

I must admit that I like Believe better that Bowl:)

*I*Believe* said...

Hi Olivia!! Enjoy your lunch with your friends...I am snowed in so no visiting for me:(

angelica1 said...

Hi Olivia, thank you, enjoy your lunch!!

Mary said...

Believe,

I like it better too. We used to have Dunkin Donuts around here too. When the kids were little we'd get a box every Saturday morning. That was before everyone had to be politically correct and get bagels.

I'm going to run some errands now. Thanks again for the cheer up everyone.

*I*Believe* said...

I am going to sign off too...going to cook some Chili. Catch ya later and don't forget to smile:)

Good Morning Everyone!

Thanks for the well wishes and the wand waves last night...though I'm feeling a little silly for posting that after hearing about some of the weather being had! Our power came back on around 4 a.m., and the temp in the house never got too far below 50 so we were fine:).

I sure enjoyed reading the comments and jokes this morning...definitely put a smile on my face. We're off to the big city to take the boys to spend Christmas money! I'm thinking I need to rustle up some mimosas and cold medicine..I could use some of that feistiness today!:)

Hope everyone has a great day and stays warm and dry!

Good morning Roseland1

Well we got hit with tons of snow........Airports closed, trains suspended, cars stuck. In short, a mess.

Now, I'm going out in it because I love when it snows, even with the strong wind and the windchill.
Taking my camera with me.

Love the lessons in Britishness from Smitty and Syd. :)

Be back on later. Have a good day everyone. I hope the weather isn't too bad where you are.
