1. Not a lot going on yet today... but it's still early.

I lived in a very rainy place, Seattle, Washington. Some days it really got to me.
That was a place where you needed one of those infrared sun lamps to avoid the Seasonal disorder of not enough sun.
Now that I think of it, maybe I'll get one for this year in Chi-town.
Or when I head into the kitchen I'll take some vitamin D3 while I make the next G & T, don't ya know.

Tropical countries are abundant w/ fresh fruits. Sometime during my childhood years, i stole fruits to our neighboors backyard, lol. Of course its ok to get some, w/ or w/out their permission.

I had lots of freedom in my childhood and we played games out of the street, during the summer, until 10 or 11pm.
My favorite joy was playing with dolls. I had at least 30 of them. And I pretended that I taught school and they were my students.
Give them up when I was 13. Sold my collectible Barbies (stooopid) when I was 29 at a garage sale for $35 (worth about $1000 I learned later). Live and learn!

Haven't found that samba dancing video of R/K yet but I know that I say it somewhere. Be patient.
Also, I'm looking into going to a local resort with some of my galpals (and Sis) to swim, drink and eat our way through a Thanksgiving without kids around.
My son will be on a cruise with his gal, (no, not the Carnival Splendour thank heavens).
Then, my daw always spends that day with her father and his cohorts but she may join us later or the next day.
We'll have a jolly old time, maybe even get massages!

It was just something that happened this morning...I was loading the dishwasher and my husband gets a call from his friend Johnny Cash.(they call him this because he's always dressed in black)LOL...anyway they're talking and my husband (Robert) tells him, yeah Bren gets out of work every night and goes drinking with her friends, and I looked at him, and say "Now you know that's not true....so then he laughs and he tells Johnny Cash in reality--she gets home from work and goes straight to this chat room, where all these women make her laugh all night, I'm sure they're all drunk, because the stuff she shares and this is only what she does share would embarrass you if I told you..and they talk till the wee hrs. of the morning......

I tell everyone who has a baby, enjoy every minute with them, because they grow up so fast...and they are certainly the most precious gift you will ever receive...
And I vote that children with living parents-not be allowed to go on vacation trips ON HOLIDAYS,
without said parents (but I will allow for divorces and such petty stuff, that it may be necessary to go on separate vacations).

the birthday boy's name is Steve, and Kim is his wife...
I also vote that grown children must at least consider and report on, the timeframe that said parents give them to procreate.
And, they need to get with the program and have those greatly anticipated, baby granddchildren, which are needed to provide the love their parents still crave.

When I was going to order the birthday cake, I asked Robert, do you want me to order a Denver Bronco cake?(steve's fav team), and he told me no, I want you to get him a Star Wars cake, I laughed thought he was joking...but he was serious.(first a little history, Steve is the youngest of three boys--when he was two his father was killed by a driver that ran a stop sign. He was raised by his mom, who struggled all through his growing up to make ends meet)
Anyway, one day a couple of years ago, he just happened to mention to my husband that he had gone to a birthday party when he was young and the birthday cake was CP3O from Star Wars, and how he wished he could have a birthday cake like that, but he never got one...
So, I ordered a Star Wars theme cake, the person at the bakery told me they only had one SW style, so that's what he got..It was a 12 inch round and it was decorated beautifully and it had figurines on top of C3PO,Darth Vader, R2D2, Luke and a Stormtrooper...the look on Steve's face was priceless, his eyes were as big as baseballs...and he looks at Robert, and Robert got teary eyed......it was so touching..

One year here in the Chicago area a hailstorm dented thousands of cars in the area, because they hit them so hard and were the size of golfballs.
We had some hail during a rainstorm a few weeks ago but it didn't last but a few minutes. My car was out of the garage but not damaged.
