Thanks. I am not a social worker. I'm just a volunteer in a group that deals with women who are homeless, come from abusive relationships, are addicted to drugs and all the other ugly stuff you can imagine. This girl came into one of the shelter's about 6 months ago. She was beyond anthing I had seen. It just broke my heart and I immediately bonded with her. She became like a little sister to me. She's come a long way but still has a lot of issues. We're just trying to focus on getting her through this incident that happened a few days ago and get her back into the whole healing process. She has a lot of people behind her,supporting her right now. Including you guys with your kind words. So, like I said before I'm just doing my part.

I would like to hope there are more real loving people out there than crazy. The people here in Roseland continually demonstrate the kindness and generosity that life can be so much more than all that ugly hate. For that I am thankful.

We all come from different walks of life here but we're still able to relate because at the end of the day we're all the same. I have a son just a few years younger than Rob and when I see some of the stuff out there I react as a mother. If that were my son or brother being objectified like that I would probably create a twitter and attack which would not be a good idea.
The internet has become so invasive and while it definitely has its usefulness, it has taken away all privacy. So just come here and laugh and tease with us, and if you need to cry and rant some time do that too.

I know it weighs heavy on the heart whenever we know that someone is dealing with some really horrible things. It just highlights the contrast between what is good and what is bad in this world. And recognizing it isn't a bad thing, but please don't let it become the focus of your day. You've got to focus on what is positive and good, and *always* keep the good in your heart and mind. It's not always easy, but I truly believe that the good outweighs the bad. There's a quote, I can't remember who said it, but it's something about how idiots know what they know the loudest.
You are loved, you are admired, and you have friends who are going to protect you AND your friends. Please let your friend know that people will be praying for their mother.. (and for her, as it affects them as well)because it helps to know that even strangers are sending you well wishes.

They take this dough, wrap it around a spoon full of butter, and then deep fry it. They mentioned something about deep fried jelly beans too.
and I love deep fried mushrooms too, yummo. Don't know if I could do the deep fried oreos and twinkies either.. that just makes me want to gag from the sugar overload.

I've heard deep fried twinkies are disgusting. This came from someone who likes anything sweet and fried.
Do you know what an elephant ear is? I saw one on the ground at a concert that had gotten stopped for rain. Anyway the thing swelled to about 3 times its size. Imagine what it does in your stomach after you eat it. Turned me off them forever.

Just wanted to add something that hasn't been said already. I am not going to pretend I know what a certain's someones life is like. I am sure in the grand scheme of things the good most likely outweighs the bad.
Glad that Rose's place is a safe place to vent and know that everyone supports each other.

Sadly sometimes I think R/K supporters thrive on the drama just as much as the hyenas (i.e. kstewrocks and vangie to name a couple).
I don't know why people speculate on things they have no knowledge of or isn't their business.
As for the fake confection known as CK...she is a skank. The only thing she has in her life is nasty manipulations and a worn out vibrator. She belongs in the train wreck club along with some other people.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's mom. It is not an easy road to travel, but the support and love of family, friends and strangers is both strengthening and humbling at the same time. It helped my son the most when his friends were supportive, but also just allowed him to be himself and to be and feel normal. It is so hard when they are hurting, but I am sure that you will be able to do that for her. I, too, will keep them in my prayers.

I am sorry about your friend mother, I must be very hard...tell I'm sending her a lot of positive energie all way from here(Portuga) and that I'll keep her and her mother in my prayers and thoughts.
