Olivia...So glad you posted that recipe! Haven't seen it in years & we used to have it all the time at covered dish suppers years ago...It's so yummy!
All of the oreo talk reminded me of Christmas candy we make every year called oreo balls (I know, I know..lol) They're really good, though...You need a package of oreos, a brick of cream cheese, and some Almond Bark ( or any other kind of chocolate that can be melted for candy making)...
Put all oreos through a food processor and chop finely
Mix chopped oreos with softened cream cheese (and yes, it will take you a while to clean out your fingernails after using your hands to mix this)
Roll mixture into balls
Melt chocolate and dip balls into chocolate (minds out of the gutter, ladies!) and turn out on wax paper.
Takes just a little while for the chocolate to harden. If you want them to look fancy, melt some white chocolate too and drizzle over your chocolate oreo balls! Really yummy and so pretty!

Tracy - we will have to watch Avatar "together" some night...I picked it up because I buy a lot of movies and I thought it was probably an important one in the long run - I just have not been interested in watching it.
It's actually not a bad movie, not one of my favorites but it was pretty cool.
I think I actually have Avatar on DVD upstairs. The kiddo wanted it.. Don't think I'm going to get any thigh action in that one though. I may eventually watch it..

I've been watching a really intense movie and it is still lingering in my mind.

It was called "Miss Julie" and it is a romance, sort of, but really depicts a battle between the upper and lower classes in Sweden during the 19th century. Very fascinating.

It's considered one of the best movie classics per IMDB rated over 8 out of 10, even after all of these years (1944).
For sure, I loved Cary Grant, what a divinely handsome man similar to a deliciously handsome young man living in HW today (or in NOLA or Rio).

I've never heard about Rob/ people's sexiest man alive and the rumors as to why it hasn't happened. I know he was included in the most beautiful list last year (I think Kristen was too).
I think he needs to be in the issue this year. The man has a lot going for him and should be recognized not only for his physical looks but his personality as well.

The Oreo pâté! LOL We use to do something similar with Nutter Butters and marshmallow fluff.
My contribution to the sweet fest:
Fave salty sweet combo
White Trash (I didn’t name it)
1 c. Cheerios
1c. Chex
1c. pretzel sticks (broken into bite size pieces)
1c. peanuts
1c. plain M&Ms
12oz. bag white chocolate chips
1 tbls. Vegetable oil
Combine dry ingredients in bowl and set aside, melt chocolate chips then stir in oil, pour melted chocolate mixture over dry ingredients and fold to coat. Press onto wax paper lined cookie sheet and cool until solid. Break into bite size pieces.
The kids love to make this at Christmas time with red and green M&Ms to give to their friends and teachers.

I wasn't going to post this, but I changed my mind and I hope this comes out in a nice way and not snarky.
I read some comments about our "Visitor" from late last night. I completely understand if you feel that ignoring them is the best way to handle them and if you are able to ignore them and not respond I think that shows that you have a strong will and that's great. However, for me after seeing this creature totally disregard our questions as to how she could come into our conversation when we were talking about children and spew hate she responded with "What has her being a slut got to do with a kid having cancer" makes me no longer able to not engage her. So the choices I have are to be mean, which causes uneeded problems, or to handle the way we are. NOTHING works with this person...NOTHING they keep coming in spewing their hate and running so if NOTHING works and they will continue on the EXACT same way for me I can't just sit here and take it.. to do that means the only option left to me is not to come here, and I hate for this person to start making us leave in order to not engage them.
For me after last Saturday night, it went from protecting a friend,to "How fucking dare you mention my niece like she is unimportant in your quest for revenge.
Ok I'm done I hope I stated that in a way that was nice and not hateful because I meant no snark or anger to be present.
Kami - I think handling it with humour, as we have the last couple of days is fine. The attacks last week that involved your niece's illness were disgusting by any standards and you had every right to respond in any way you chose, frankly any "being" who would stoop so low as to disrespect a sick child in such a way is not, in my opinion, worthy of the consideration and compassion I would apply to any other person.
You absolutely should not have to stop posting here, you have a lot of friends and frankly, you have me laughing until I cry every day! The evil,twisted,sadistic pondscum thay you are referring to WANT to drive away the sane,decent people so that they don't have to hear an unpalatable truth, not hearing it doesn't make it less true but still they somehow consider it a victory.
