It was called Super Host. But now that I think about it, I should have been really creeped out by the dude.

ok guys, "Better Than Sex Chocolate Cake" recipe coming at you....First of all it is super good and super easy...
Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix
(my pref is Betty Crocker-super moist-devils food, but any kind will work)
1 large box chocolate instant pudding
1 large tub cool whip
small bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Bake cake by using directions on box....(I use 13x9 pyrex, but any pan will do)
While cake is cooling, prepare pudding and put in fridge--will set in five minutes.
When cake is completely cool, spread top of cake with pudding, then spread cool whip on top of pudding, sprinkle chocolate chips on whipped cream and be generous...
Chill cake before serving....

Actually, hubby was in the navy for 8 years and we moved from Texas to Florida to South Carolina to Maine to Connecticut, and then back down to Louisiana when he got out...but I've always remained 'southern', I think.

So what is the problem with Norfolk? Its a naval base isn't it? I've heard through friends that Virginia school system is somewhat lacking. I don't know if that is true.

The leaves are really changing right now. I'm planning a trip up north this weekend because I think this is prime color time. I have a lot of oaks on my property and they aren't very colorful plus they hold on to their leaves until the very end. A lot of years the first snow comes before we can get the raking done.

Visited Norfolk b/c that's where and aunt and uncle lived. Kinda boring if I remember correctly.
Real PR- where in PA do you live? How long does it take to get into the city for you?
Melinda -- I live in Bucks County, near an area where Oscar Hammerstein, Dorothy Parker and James Michener all had country houses in the 1940s,so its still very much of an artist community. Takes me 2hrs 15 minutes door to door, taking the train. My office is a block from ground zero.
I'm late getting here but am just thrilled to see the pictures! I am so happy that they're happy....oh...and I always BELIEVED!
For everyone worried about Tracy--she is okay. Thankfully, she was just catching up on her sleep! :o)

After getting cake out of the oven, I poke holes in it, pour caramel ice cream topping and hot fudge topping on top. Let it cool, put coolwhip on, then crushed heath bars.
Gosh, these pics gave me the hugest grin.. I don't see how people can look at them and somehow think that that is PR.. I know they're both actors and fab ones at that but that sort of emotion can't be faked.. They're both entirely too happy for that to be PR and no-one can say that Rob hates her and can't wait to get away from her, coz he looks pretty darn smiley from where I'm sitting.. I didn't see him looking disgusted once Kristen touched him, but hey.. I guess with some people once you believe something, that's all you see.. and that's sad bcoz personally I am SO excited and happy that they are both happy.. So others can believe that it's all PR and they actually hate each other and they're actually both gay, but I know that they are completely smitten with each other..

lacey8...We used to make one where you use a white cake mix, let it cool, poke holes, then pour a can of coco lopez over it, then cool whip,then frozen fresh coconut...not the dried kind. Some peeps also add pineapple and call it a Pina Coloda cake. It's yummy!

Jentoo..That sounds sooo good! Definitely doing that one! OK, this is making me hungry and I try not to eat this time of night! I don't bake a lot except special occasions, holidays coming up. Pumpkin pies I have never conquered, so I've given up.
Here's an easy one that tastes like it wasn't that easy...prepare a yellow cake mix, mix 1 can of german chocolate frosting( or caramel coconut) into the actual cake mix, bake in a bundt cake pan, turn out onto your cake dish. Then, get a can of chocolate icing, remove the foil and heat in the microwave until it's at pouring consistency, and pour over your bundt cake. I know it sounds weird because of all the canned icing, but it's really good. It's best when served still warm.

Hey Rose! Geez, the things I miss when I stay the heck away from my computer for a few days! You are my second stop after my e-mails tonight, and I just had to tell you how much I loved your post for today, I'm still wiping at the tears, you make me happy with your words. I love your words and wit, you just say it like it is, but damn it if you don't say it the best! I love these pictures of Rob and Kristen, they look so happy and I'm glad they can still laugh and have fun even when the paps stick the camera's in their faces. We don't get to see that very often, so I think it's pretty special. (I mean the smiling around the intrusive paps) I wish the paps wouldn't follow their every move, (ya, that'll stop about the time pigs fly) but I sure love seeing these pictures because they are obviously happy, laughing, and having a good time. Oh ya, and TOGETHER! See, I would also like to donate to the rabies vaccinations fund, it's such a scary epidemic. I also have to mention the Google tribute to John Lennon; was that beautiful or what? Adobo recipe
1/2 kilo pork cut in cubes + 1/2 kilo chicken, cut
into pieces or
choice of either 1 kilo of pork or 1 kilo of chicken
1 head garlic, minced
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup vinegar
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon paprika
5 laurel leaves (bay leaves)
4 tablespoons of cooking oil or olive oil
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoons water
Adobo Cooking Instructions:
In a big sauce pan or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of
oil then sauté the minced garlic and onions.
Add the pork and chicken to the pan. Add 2 cups
of water, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, vinegar, paprika
and the bay leaves. Bring to a boil. Cover and
simmer for 30 minutes or when meat is tender.
Remove the pork and chicken from the sauce pan
and on another pan, heat cooking oil and brown
the pork and chicken for a few minutes.
Mix the browned pork and chicken back to the
sauce and add cornstarch dissolved in water to
thicken.
Add salt and/or pepper if desired
Bring to a boil then simmer for an additional 5
minutes.
Serve hot with the adobo gravy and rice.
Adobo Cooking Tips:
You have the option to add crushed ginger to the
onions and garlic when sautéing. Ginger adds a
unique flavor to your pork/chicken adobo.

DK heres it is. I dont know if graham crackers are available in your area but any chocolate baked crackers would do. And the manggoes should be ripe and sweet.
Manggo supreme
Ingredients:
1 kilo Mango, peeled, thinly
sliced
1 can condense milk
1 pack graham crackers
2 packs All-Purpose Cream
How to prepare.
1. Beat condensed milk and
all-purpose cream
2. In square bowl, pile graham
crackers, put mixture, sliced
mango. Repeat the piling until
the desired thickness.
3. Chill.
Enjoy
you can substitute mango with any fruit. Try it with fruit cocktails also. Now im really hungry

Kstewrocks: YES Texas is Extremely hot, especially in the Summer temps of 110+. It can get extremely cold in the winter below zero, but it usually lasts for a day or two at a time then usually stays in the
60s...In 2006 I remember going to my husband's grandmother's funeral, she passed away on New Years, and temps reached the 90s. In the part of the state I am from it's a dry heat, so it's tolerable.
