I missed being here earlier because I was reading a book a friend (haven't heard from in years ) sent me. GOING UP AND COMING DOWN FROM DRUGS AND ALCOHOL by Kenneth Michael Spaulding. It's only 90 pages but made me cry for him and his struggle for sobriety. I was with him when he first attempted suicide. Our lives took such different paths. He gives a bleak account of the life of an addict. At least he is now sober and able to say life is good for him and admit he is gay.
I might not should have brought this story here but I needed to share. Hope I haven't offended anyone.

The rain and gray is back, but we had a pretty glorious September/most of October so it doesn't seem so bad yet. It can be a bit depressing but the summers are pretty amazing and I enjoy all the green the rain produces. They say we are in for an extra cold and rainy winter this year due to La Nina, so we will see.

yeah, its a costume, was just trying to give DK an idea of how I did it...it takes me forever to type...
its almost halloween, is it your costume too? Its not really celebrated here.
I will be off Sunday, but we do have a big Halloween party at work, we dress up and have a costume contest, pumpkin carving, scariest dish, and the general mgr brings us tons of food...so it is a fun day....but this year it falls on my scheduled day off so I miss out.

I love the talk on the casting of Rosalie that I've just skimmed through. It's true, I'm sure they could have found someone more beautiful who was blonde already. Let's face it, the wigs look bad on all the cast. But if Rosalie is supposed to be the most beautiful, she needs to be beautiful near enough already. So have blonde hair already. The make up too, the thick pale white doesn't suit. And since she's tanned naturally, I keep thinking how they must have piled extra thick make up. It's fake beauty, and she kind of looks like a freak as Rosalie most of the time.

Happy Friday! I hope everyone is good and about to enjoy a great Halloween weekend.
I need to ask a favor and I don't mean to sound like ..whatever but when the trolls appear we really need to ignore it. I don't think it does any good and really, you all are better than that. I totally get and appreciate what you were doing--you all are fucking fierce frankly-and it was hysterical to read it all but let's just go back to ignoring if it happens again if that is okay with all of you. I can't tell you how much it means--like so cool but just kinda switch gears or at least think about it. For me it would be better but again, this is your place and how you react is up to each of you.
Thank you SO much for all you guys do. Just be sure to be discreet in what you say and even in responses to me and my friends. Even if the trolls don't post this is still a public forum and there are so many people lurking and reading and taking notes. I know this is now on the AT board's radar and I've heard other spots too. I just want to keep Roseland fun and happy for everyone. You all mean alot and again, thank you for everything.

Good morning Smitty! Hope you're having a great day so far. You are absolutely right of course,they aren't really worth the time or effort. During boring,long-winded meetings, we play a game called boardroom bingo. We make a grid with "corporate-speak" terms and tick each one off as the MD comes out with it. Whoever crosses all of theirs off first wins,though you have to be careful not to shout out in the middle of the meeting,which has happened! Anyway, perhaps we should do the same with the trolls insults :)

I live in NYC and because of a major screw-up by the cinema, there was no showing at 11:10 AM of WTTR as listed.
Next and first showing of the day at that cinema will be at 1:50PM and I can't make that one.
So,so disappointed. I might be able to see it early on Sunday instead.
