Omigosh.. New Orleans was AMAZING! I loved it. We had no real schedule of things we wanted to do. We just went and did what looked interesting. I had SO many restaurants I wanted to try. We did a jazz brunch.. I think my waiter tried to get me drunk. He kept refilling my bellini.. so I ended up drinking the entire bottle of champagne (in my defense.. it wasn't a LARGE bottle). Did breakfast at Brennan's.. :) So I got my bananas foster.
And the music. *thud* The music was incredible. It was my favorite part.

There's a gourmet cupcake shop down the road. They have the most amazing cupcakes. Different ones on different days. Tonight, I got a carrot cake, a strawberry shortcake, and two different chocolate ones.
I was hoping for a pumpkin one, but we got there kinda late, so had to pick from what they had.
Later tonight, I'll be looking for some way to scream in delight, as Syd suggests. He has such cool suggestions, that silliebillie.
DK - yes.. everybody always seems to end up at my house. It's cool though.. They're upstairs, so it's not TOO bad, and they're going to watch a movie. They went to a haunted woods tonight and it didn't last nearly as long as they wanted, and oh yeah.. it's COLD outside. We actually have our first freeze warning tonight.
Those type of gourment cupcakes are so good that I now can't stand the ones from my local store anymore-no special flavors or imagination found in those.

I hope your daughter's soccer team had a good season. Does she play another sport too? And I was reading about the cupcakes, they sounded yummy...now I want one too. lol
I went to a haunted house with some friends tonight and now I'm pretty sure that I'll NEVER sleep again. I don't know why my friends beg me to do things like that or why I agree to go. I'm the girl who keeps her eyes covered with her hands like an eight year old during scary movies. I'm going to put on The Sound of Music (my happy place movie) and try and let visions of "rain drops on rose and whiskers on kittens" replace the thoughts of zombies and serial killers that are currently racing through my mind. Nothing bad can happen as long as the hills are alive with sound of music...right?

They did have a good season actually. One of the best ones the school's ever had. :)
And she's also a track runner! She runs the hurdles. So she's already training and conditioning for that now. It's so different than watching soccer. One of her races is over in under 17 seconds!
I haven't been to a haunted house or anything of the sort in years. But I'd probably be completely freaked out if I went.
And don't forget the bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens ;)

WTTR will be in Austin beginning Friday, Nov. 12 at the Regal Arbor 8 Cinemas off of 183 (Research), north end of Austin, west of Interstate 35. Will post times when I get them. Lots of eateries surround this theatre.
Gathering of friends last night to have the annual pizza party in honor of Johnny Depp and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Love that movie. Little Halloween celebration without too much blood, guts, and gore. Just lots of Johnny! : D
Peek in later. Off to work, this is my Sat., Sun, weekend at the 2nd place of "travail". Only half days, makes it go quickly.

Cate, I can't say enough positive things about WTTR. All three leads were brilliant along with the supporting cast. You understood the pain of these characters and you root for them to make it. I won't say much more because many of you have yet to see but when it gets to your city run, don't walk to see it.
