The party was very interesting...
My daughter and the son's girl planned and executed all of the details, so I was able to relax and have good convos/fun.
Surprisingly, no one there got drunk or disorderly (including me) and my sis-in-law surprised us all by coming out here with other family. Delightful!
Pizza was very good and overall the whole party was super nice.
My sister and I put on wigs. Hers was long, blond, with some kind of a cap. Mine was curly red. Old time friends and family made fun of us cause in the past we actually had similar hairstyles.
The young uns kept asking the purpose of the wigs, wasn't that silly? Why Halloween draws near, we'd say and we're getting a jump on the "batty" aspect.
Yes, we'll be dressed up next Sat and out at the bars to be real silliebillies for a night.

By the way, my being on Rose's blog and admiring our favorites is a subject of great fun within the circle of my family/friends.
I love to amuse them with my "obsession or intoxication" for things Twilight Saga, so that they have lots of ammo to shoot back at me. Plus, it causes more laughter than ever.
At least 5 times a day, when I am with someone (lest you think I am always talking to myself), I drop tidbits about Kristen, Rob and Tom, just to get it all rolling. It never fails!
The most popular concern I had is the most favored subject to ridicule me about.
When Kristen and Taylor were in Korea & Australia, I could't wait for them to get back to the good old U.S.
Funny, but I didn't like them so far away and in war zones, even if they are not my children, they are valuable in my life. Silly Dreamer.
It is my pleasure to be the butt of jokes and ridicule, if it makes people truly happy or they learn a lesson about love. Take it or leave it I say.

I just got back from seeing Red. We really liked it. Some of it was predictable but it was still a lot of fun.
I saw the weirdest thing. At the theater everything was covered in pink for Breast Cancer awareness. Right in the entryway they had cardboard Edward dressed all in pink with a pink tie around his neck. It was really funny, but I thought, you don't do that to Edward.

Helen Mirren was wonderful and John Malkovich stole the whole movie in my opinion. He's always odd, but he was really funny too.

I liked Hellen Mirren from back when she played Morgana on Excalibur.

My house was actually hit by a tornado on mother's day a few years back. A F1. Lost a few shingles and every other piece of siding. on the cornice boards. One of my neighbors lost their roof. No one hurt thankfully. Just alot of debris.

I haven't commented in a while. Its not that I don't read everyday... its just well life gets in the way of my Robsten/Twilight time...
I have to say when you said since Summer 2008 they've been hangin out... I was like NO way only two years and a few months ago... it seems like an eternity ago. Or maybe its just they always have struck me as a forever kind of couple. I know its Hollywood and the chances of them making it are obviously slim....but I think their attitudes about life and Hollywood. And the fact that their both sets of their parents have had successful marriages bodes well for them.

The party was good.
There were old photos of my son, naked at two years old (he just loved everyone seeing those!) and in his defiant teens.
Plus there were some pics of myself with freaky 90's hair, and of the daughter as a little fashionista (which she certainly is now).
After we got home, my guests and I talked and laughed until 2am.
All in all, it was a gobsmacking good time.
And it's bad, bad Leroy Brown, baddest man in the whole damned town.

OMG, I've got football on the brain..
Watched games all afternoon, then we had a Packers party that started at 4 pm, and didn't wrap till 11...we had sooo much fun...we sang Bad, Bad Leroy Brown all through the barbecue which was early, but as the night progressed and the game started we would sing the chorus everytime the Packers made a good play...as the evening went on and everyone got more intoxicated we were all singing everytime the Vikings made a good play...it was totally hilarious..

When I lived in Minnesota in the 70's and 80's, many of the parties I went to started out cheering for the Vikings.
But as they did worse and worse, and the liquor flowed, the whole group of us would shift over to the opposition and cheer them on.
That's what I love about Minnesotans, they live life the easy way.
You are wise to do that with 12 feet of snow heading your way, lol.

He found out that he has stage 2 high blood pressure (runs in the family) and is going to change his ways, amen!

I just love weddings! And I am famous for wearing the most god awful outfits, and making a fool of myself. It's part of my charm.
Why, my brother's mother-in-law told me at a family wedding last summer, that I shouldn't be dancing "like that at your age".
Maybe she was right, after all, I dinged the foot, doing just that a couple of weeks ago and now I'm another year older!
Then, I like to mingle with people who don't know me and make them get up and dance. They can either dance with me or if they insist, with whomever they like. Dance they must and will.
Consider me a Social Director and hire me for your weddings-all will have a good time, forever talking about it as the wedding of the century.
The best part is they all are so inspired by such a good time, they reopen their gift envelopes and add more bucks for the happy couple! (I get another 10% commish)

My son does too, he started writing a book a few months ago, but refuses to talk about it till it's done. He is in his sophomore year as an undergrad.

Ok, a pastry chef is great! And you can then write that blog or a book about your unique pastries, etc.
My father-in-law was Norwegian, trained in Paris as a pastry chef before WWII. His danish pastry, strudel, pies, cakes and coffee cakes were outstanding.
Never have I see nor tasted the like, since he made them when we owned a family coffee shop/bakery in Ely, Minnesota.
