Twilight Revisited ~ Getting a Rob Fix

I watched Twilight last night.
I was finally home... alone.
Away from people who just don't understand.
I have no idea how many times
I have seen this movie.
So very many.
A scary number, I'm sure.
Not a shock, really...
Considering everything I do
in connection to Twilight Series/Robert Pattinson....
is pretty fucking out there.
Anyway...
The moment Edward walks into the cafeteria?
The best moment in the whole movie.
Catherine Hardwicke and Summit
fucked up a lot of stuff in Twilight...
But casting Robert Pattinson?
Brilliant.
And Edwards entrance still gives me goosebumps.
This isn't a scene from the movie.
It should have been...
But...
We get virtually no affection...
No intimacy in Twilight.
That's why I love this picture.
Bella nuzzling into Edward...
She looks like she belongs there...
Like there is no place
she would rather be... ever.
(Kinda the same with Kristen... right?)
:)

Who the hell is this?
It's not Edward Cullen...
And it really doesn't even look like Rob.
It's a good thing
that this is the first...
and last time
that we saw Rob/Edward
look like this.
Whew.

Gah.
After the last picture...
I really had to cleanse the brain a bit.
THIS is Edward.
So damn sexyhot...
If only they had better utilized Rob
in this movie...
if only they had stayed true to the book...
If only they could have shown
the relationship between Edward and Bella...
If only...

I have high hopes for New Moon.
What I have seen so far...
blows Twilight out of the fucking water.
And that's just 2 minutes of clips.
I can't wait until I can lose myself
with Edward again...
Watch Edward and Bella come to life...
I've missed Edward.
A lot.

I watch Twilight now...
When I find myself missing Rob.
Needing Edward.
It's a nice fix.
I know the movie by heart.
Every movement...
Every word Rob says.
I know Robert by heart.

My heart knows Robert.

Bye for now

I loved the books and when I saw the movie there were some things that I felt missed the mark. Two things that did not miss the mark but exceeded it was the casting of Rob and Kristen. Watching it the first time I kept thinking something is off it's not conveying the deep emotions in the book but yet I kept getting drawn back in everytime Rob was on screen. Then came the prom scene...flightless bird playing in the background..the vulnerability on Kristen's face and the intensity in Rob's eyes made everything else..ok..better then ok...that scene made up for everything else.

I do the same thing when Rob is off somewhere enjoying being out of the spotlight. I put the DVD in my portable player with my headphones and fall in love all over again.

I think New Moon will far exceed Twilight and I couldn't be happier if it does.

That is crazy... although Twilight had so many mistakes - was made in such a chaotic way - it just touched everybody down to the core...
Now we all fell in love with ... now, what actually was it, that even knowing, that it is not the book, there were so many mistakes - we nevertheless watch the film over and over again... this is just wonderful, and not logic and not reasonable at all. It is just as simple as any falling in love is - neither reasonable nor logic - just irrationally inexplicable...

And if the next film will be good - it can never be better - because "better" would mean that the first was bad, but how could it have been bad if it stirred up our emotions so much as it did? I am looking forward to seeing New Moon very much, and when I think of Eclipse ... or the last one... there is a long time before us where we will enjoy these wonderful actors...

...once again me, I think it is : good, better, the best...

...so stop laughing, I know...

One more word:

Twilight was more than good, it had all the charming all the enthralling beauty that made us fall in love with it, so now...
New Moon will be good, too, it will be completely different, but good as well, and we will love it, too...
And as Mr Slade has the same actors and the same scriptwriter, he has got to handle it somehow - same voices, etc. he won't be stupid and destroy the ground on which he is building. But... the third book is very dark, it is dark and dangerous and sad and brutal... so why not do it as it is? If he keeps to the book, and he really does it as it is written, then it will just be horribly creepy...

I too was extremely disappointed at the lack of affection between Bella and Edward in the movie...after all that's what I loved about the books, their undying love for each other - that was not conveyed properly in the movie, in my opinion.

Ah the cafeteria scene where Rob first enters...my heart was pounding in my chest at that moment and I almost burst in to tears, but I was with other people so I had to contain myself.
